This restaurant is an absolute gem. Situated right by the sea, it offers breathtaking ocean views. The prices are reasonable, and their goat cheese burger is truly exceptional. Stick with the medium-rare preparation—it’s perfection. The homemade fries that come with it are delightful, and the service is top-notch. Just be aware that, like many places in Portugal, they only serve this burger after 7 pm when the dinner menu is available. When you fancy something different but you are not quite sure what you want to eat.....? Come to Salty Beach Bar. Probably THE best views in Araia Branca and GREAT FOOD and DRINKS. (Their white Sangria is to die for). The menu is eclectic and has something for everyone from fresh salads and Steaks to THE best Veggie Burger in town.

Best for a sunny meal in PAB

We keep coming back and have never had a bad visit. My particular favourite is the “prego especial” but there a number of meals that suit all tastes. Really good sun terrace over looking the sea. The owners and staff are very friendly.

Beyond a magnificent view of the beach of Area Branca, the food does not stand out for its quality except fries which are good. Gambas are very disappointingly soft with a pronounced brine taste. I come to the Rating, slow service, a warm welcome that gives you the Impression of not being welcome. Come to portugal every year and stay about 5 minutes by foot away from the boardwalk saltys is on. Delicious is an understatement. I havent come for breakfast here, Im pretty sure they dont serve any either way, but i come here for lunch and dinner all the time. The food isnt insanely expensive and it is in the cutest spot, They have pretty nice washrooms, and amzing seating, most of it is outside but dont be worried about being sunburnt there are plenty of seating options underumbrellas. The views from saltys of the ocean are amzing and will always and forever reccomend this rrestaurant.

Great Views even better Cocktails

It was such an amazing day when we decided to step out of our villa and explore. Taking a leisurely walk along the boardwalk, we couldn't help but notice the bustling scene at Salty Beach Bar, which surely meant something fantastic was going on there. Despite the crowd, we happily waited and treated ourselves to some delicious cocktails. Once seated, we eagerly perused the menu, only to discover that some of the delightful Portuguese dishes were missing from the English version. As we observed the stunning plates of what seemed to be clams or mussels being served around us, we couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed not to find them on the menu. There might have been a specials menu that we missed. Nevertheless, we savored some scrumptious burgers, though the calamari sticks were a letdown, reminding us of frozen grocery store fare. Despite this, we'd love to return solely for the amazing cocktails and the stunning view.

Very pleasant place, with a fantastic view, simple but very tasty food. Attentive and friendly staff. From the originality of the starters (lupine hummus and truffled butter), to the main course, to the desserts (Migas da Avó), everything was very good. I highly recommend it.

Horrible service. Waited an hour for our food; while tables that were seated after us were served their meal. After 20 minute wait for beers and wine, my husband went to the bar to order it again and the bartender said “if you don’t like it then get behind the bar”. After asking why the food was taking so long they told us it was only ordered 15 minutes ago. Not true. It was a hour. Didn’t clear glasses or plates as we finished. They didn’t take any accountability for the lack of service: instead they argued with us (and we speak Portuguese). Waitress seemed overwhelmed. Couldn’t keep up with her tables. Would not come back. Very sad because the location is great.
