The restaurant has a superb location with a fine view, directly in front of the sea. The atmosphere is inviting, and the staff incredibly nice and attentive. The menu is diverse, with a clear focus on pizza, which are simply delicious: the bread is delightful, crispy and tasty, the toppings are of high quality and delicious as well. Could have some more vegetarian options. Beverages are quite good, sangrias are refreshing and cocktails are very well made. The prices are quite high in general, but it's definitely one of the highest quality pizzarias in the area.

Excellent pizza and a gorgeous view

My husband and I were driving north along the coast from Setubal and stopped by this restaurant for lunch with a couple of friends. Pizzas were delicious (family size is LARGE) and our waiter was very attentive. What made our experience truly spectacular was that the view of the beach and surrounding areas were breathtaking. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. Note, remember the code to the door leading out to the bathroom, you need the code when you come back through. I didn’t pay attention (code was posted all over the restaurant) and panicked briefly. Ultimately, I found a door out of the building and walk around to the front entrance of the restaurant to find our table again. We all had a laugh on me.

Fabulous food, service and ambiance Best Italian.

We arrived as they opened but there was already a queue outside. We managed to get a table and as it was a window seat we could take advantage of the sunset over the sea. Our starters were para ham &melon, Barratt, mozzarella &tomato and salmon & cream cheese bruchetta. Followed by 2 pizzas, carbonate tagliatelle and the house speciality which was the sauce created in a large cheese round, then pasta and more sauce added before everything was scraped out and served withcrispy bacon. Desserts we a tiramisu and the biggest after eight sundae I had ever seen. 2 litres of wine and a coffee and the bill was just short of €100. The service, setting and food were all perfect we will recommend and return ourselves soon.

The friends we were with warned us it gets busy , we arrived at 14.00 and were told an hours wait , had a drink locally and received a call to say the tables ready around an hour later , had an additional short wait while the table was laid , were given the menu and decided what we all wanted , after 25 minutes we flagged down the waiter to take our order , main meal came out fairly quickly , meal was average , wine was good , asked for the dessert menu , ordered / collected our deserts (ice cream at entrance) 2 never arrived , had to get up and ask the waiter where the remainder were , he didn't seem bothered or interested, even who i think was the owner or manager at the payment point wasn't interested, just how much money they can make ,no customer service. The other desserts arrived , after 20 minutes of waiting we had to go again to the waiter to ask for coffee . The fastest part of the service was them taking the payment , if you have half a day to spare for an hours lunch this place is for you , toilets are situated outside and are accessible to the general public . Good luck

The BEST Pizza AND Pasta

We moved to Atalaia in November 2021 and to date have eaten (or had takeaways from) Pizzaria da Praia on 7 different occasions. Whether it was Lunch or Dinner, during the week or at weekends, the quality of food and service has been exemplary. How this is not THE number 1 restaurant on Trip Adviser is beyond me. I can only think that evryone who eats here believes that it is THE number 1 restaurant and therefor don't need to write a review. Pizzaria dr Paria is quite simply THE BEST RESTAURANT in and around Praia Branca.

A disappointment

We were curious to try this pizzeria and were very disappointed. Although the service was fast and attentive, the pizzas themselves were very poor, with low quality ingredients (not typical Italian) and poorly dosed on the pizza (too much cheese and not enough tomato), which made them sickly... For dessert we ordered a strawberry ice cream that was completely artificial (it could have been one from Lidl or from the mainland) And the prices are not affordable at all... Anyway, not to be repeated!

Good Pizza, but a little pricey

The restaurant is located right on the beach, so it has fantastic views. It's a very nice place, with beautiful decor. They serve excellent thin crust pizzas, although a little expensive for what we are used to. Delicious sangria! Very friendly staff.

Pizzas taste like a big sandwich of cheap cheese

Service is very good but the pizzas are terrible. Way too much cheese and my second time pizza was the 4 Season and it was absolutely terrible. The ham was hard as a shoe sole, pizza overall was very dry, and each of the 4 slices had just one ingredient as they weren’t spread.

No dogs, no credit card - no business! Don't go there.

We had a reservation and they wouldn't even let a cute small dog enter with us to sit at a table on the terrace. Also, they don't accept credit cards, only cash and the Portuguese Multibanco. Clearly this restaurant is still stuck in the past millennium. Businesses like this shouldn't exist anymore.

With exceptional views and a wide ranging menu I had high expectations for this place. However I was really disappointed in the pizza. The cherry tomatoes on top were cut so thick that they just rolled off the minute I picked up a slice! They were huge! Additionally the pineapple tasted really off and was clearly not fresh/in date. Disappointing really!

Best praia da areia branca restaurant. Pasta al grana padano is just a pure delight. The taste of pasta, sauce, truffle and crispy raw ham above is to fall on the ground so good. I’m not even talking about the tiramisu I ate. I never finish my plates... they're empty! Our favorite waiter always at the meeting very nice nice speaks English French Portuguese in short everything is top!!!

Space with incredible location, good parking, excellent decoration. The starter board with sausages and cheeses was excellent. Well prepared food, however in our opinion the monkfish and prawn risotto is more similar to a caldoso rice than a risotto, although still quite tasty. Very good lasagna and spaghetti bolognese. We didn't eat pizza, but we saw several passing by us and they looked and smelled divine. Lambrusco Rose was of good quality but it wasn't extremely cold as it should have been, fresh but not ice-cold. Dunkel beer on tap. Very good desserts too (Nutella pizza and canoli). White wine in a glass of Óbidos to accompany the dessert, very good too. The staff, despite being friendly, seems a little forced to be friendly, I hope I'm wrong but it's not natural, it almost seems like an obligatory friendliness. The price is appropriate to the quality presented and the excellent location where it is located.

They called me around 11am to make a reservation and they informed me that they did not accept reservations, it was on a first-come, first-served basis. We attended the opening at 12pm, on a first-come, first-serve basis, when it was our turn (many tables visibly available) they informed us that everything was reserved!? Very bad system, bad information: place to avoid.

We went on the advice of friends and we liked it a lot. The food, the view and the staff available and well disposed. Besides all this, when we arrived around 7:30 there were no tables available.
