My husband and I went for Sunday lunch as recommended by a local. We booked and were told they didn't do traditional Sunday roasts, which we absolutely didn't want anyway - we love fish and were told this fish restaurant was well worth a visit. We agree! My mantra is "you get what you pay for" and, although the cost... More

all 3 of us had seafood for both courses and all 3 of us agreed that it was some of the best in the uk. Child friendly too. We had our 8 month old boy on our knee and he was chatting away the whole time and we didn't feel awkward. If you like great seafood and a relaxed friendly... More

Had two lunches at this lovely pub, nice friendly welcome and smashing seafood. Shame it was only open at the weekend or we'd have called in more often.

We are a family of 5 adults we booked ahead and when we arrived we were shown our table given menus and was talked though menu and specials, our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about all the dishes. We all had different starters and mains, fish dishes were lovely and the home made beef pie was gorgeous. The portions... More

Hadn't booked but as we arrived at 6pm managed to get the last table available - great spot in the window. Landlady ran through the menu and because of her dsecriptions 3 of us went for the fish - starters and mains. Everything was superb including the lasagne and beef burger. So full no one could manage dessert. We all... More

....but only unexpected to us as this cozy inn has built quite a reputation for fresh caught fish steamed to perfection and hand cut chips that are beyond moorish. Every effort was made to enhance the natural flavours. On a family holiday with kids 11 & 12, we decided to treat ourselves to lunch following a stunning walk around the... More

Went here having just bought our house locally and was greeted by great service and a friendly smile at the end of long day. Fish is definitely a speciality but I think so is the friendly atmosphere and good real Ales. Our choices of cod loin in white wine and cream sauce and beef in stout were both excellent and... More
