The view was amazing. It had an open air feeling. The food depended on what you ordered. Great burgers, poke was great. Pancake order had a burnt bottom pancake--at this price point I expect it to be recooked rather than served. We had a reservation...albeit late lunch. But they started to vacuum before we were done. If you need to clean then do not have that time available on open table. Appetizer came out after out lunch was served. If you are gluten free there are not a lot of options except salads.More

short ribs are absolutely to die for. You walk in and have the beautiful views out the window surrounded restaurant. Everything was stunning and the food was amazing. Waitress was so friendly and comped us the bread pudding (highly recommend), for us being on our...honeymoon. If we were staying longer we would go again!More

VERY DISAPPOINTING! What happened to The Plantation House? Over many years, dining at The Plantation House was an elegant, upscale, gourmet experience. Although the spectacular view hasn’t changed, very little remains worth dining here. Our waitress was pleasant and efficient, however our meals were delivered...by a young man who literally slapped plates of food onto the table. Our salad was served in warm bowls with watered down dressing. Seared ahi consisted of three 2 inch square chunks with little taste and bland sauce. The flavor profile was lacking anything that resembles this popular dish on Maui. My apologies for sharing such a poor review, but diners deserve to be warned before they spend a lot of money on such a sub par meal.More

Truly a beautiful restaurant. We chose to go here to celebrate my daughter‘s birthday because we wanted it to be a special night. We have been to this restaurant many times before but there has been a big change since the last time we were...there. It was a Friday night around 730 and there is live music. We were surprised by this because our memory of the restaurant was that it was quiet. The music was way too loud and everyone was shouting to have a conversation. Service was slow but I know everyone is just getting started so that part did not really bother us. We had to just ask for our meals to go because the noise level was really too much. They were very nice and accommodating but we were disappointed not to have the special birthday celebration that we had hoped for. Not sure why they think they need to have live music in the dining room. I felt like we were at restaurants at wailers Village.More

Let's start with the good. The drive in/up to the clubhouse/restaurant is beautiful. Very well kept grounds, stunning views. Our server was pleasant and kind. We both ordered the Hawaiian Short Rib; while it wasn't mind-blowing, it was pretty darn tasty. The live music by...Garrett was absolutely phenomenal - he's an incredibly talented musician. Lastly, I think they understood the dining experience wasn't up to par so they gave us two free desserts. Now onto the bad. Our first drinks of the night were Old Fashioned - a pretty simple drink, but I do know restaurants like to put their spin on it. My wife and I both agreed, probably the worst Old Fashioned we've ever had. First, it was shaken...a bit odd. It was completely missing a sugar element. It was served over small cubes and with a straw. Our second drink order was wine...we were served the wrong one, and the server insisted it was the right one. Luckily the wine was OK, you win some you lose some. Lastly, as nice as our server was, she wasn't very attentive. I know a lot of restaurants on the island are struggling to hire workers/staff, so it is very possible they're currently understaffed and servers are spread too thin. Either way, it was a slight damper on the evening. I had to ask for drinks as opposed to being asked if I was ready for another. All-in-all, it was a very OK/average evening. Nothing to go out of your way for. The location/views are absolutely stunning...if the bar/service/kitchen can catch up, it could eventually be a winner.More

Had OK dinner meals (Shrimp Scampi & Ahi) at the Plantation House. Nice view and service was decent. Food was uninspired and basically an above average golf clubhouse restaurant. It was our lowest rated dinner meal on the island. If you really want to go...for the view - your time (and money) will be much better spent on breakfast or lunch - just make sure you get seated viewing the course/ocean otherwise interior seating is not worth it at all.More

We were extremely pleased with our dining experience at The Plantation House, having a window table overlooking the golf course, ocean and Molokai. The wine selections were generous, the food prepared nicely and the servers attentive. I would add another fresh catch to the menu...each evening.More

Each time we go to Maui, we come to The Plantation House for lunch...the food and the view is always super. The restaurant is on the 18th fairway (a 663 yard par 5) and it also overlooks the ocean...you can't beat the view.

Situated above the Plantation Golf Course, this restaurant boasts an amazing view over Kapalua. Chef Jared serves up an excellent breakfast, including the Portuguese omelet and eggs benedict. My wife and I visited during our honeymoon; the staff gave us two flutes of Prosecco topped...with flowers and a lovely card to congratulate us. Service was excellent. Dinner left something to be desired; I recommend this place for breakfast or brunch only.More

It has been a number of years since I have been to Maui. I went again recently and of course had to return to Plantation House. To my delight, the food has even improved. I was there for both for dinner and breakfast. I loved...the breakfast potatoes in particular. No need for lunch. Hope to be able to return soon.More
