Highlighted by a hand-crafted bar wrap-around bar allowing for an open concept with expansive views, the restaurant’s transformation pays homage to the history of banyan trees in Hawaii as a gathering place to meet and share a meal. Chef Bella’s vibrant new menu embraces that spirit and invites you on a journey to discover the roots of the land while incorporating the island’s most unique and sustainable ingredients. Classic Hawaiian recipes are deconstructed and redesigned with a local twist using Mediterranean cooking techniques to develop a menu that will enliven your senses through the ways of the islands.

Such your typical overly fancy and priced restaurant for what you get. Food was tasty and cooked to perfection however the menu is entirely too small and not enough options. Some of the flavors were also weird to put together. Our waiter was nice however,...when asked where they source their fish on the island he basically said, don’t worry it’s good…overall a decent place but way overly priced. We were supposed to return a few nights later for a reservation since we were staying at the hotel, but chose not to return. Definitely better options out there for the price and what you get.More

My husband went here our first night of our honeymoon in Maui. And it was the best Restaurant to start off the trip! Food was outstanding and drinks were worth the money. It was kind of confusing to find at first but we figured it...out. Would defiantly recommend and would go again!More

I enjoyed my dinner at the Banyan Tree! The restaurant itself is very open and gorgeous and the employees were all very friendly. It was a short walk past the pools and there were huge fire pits where we sat and waited for a bit...before watching the nightly sunset ceremony up close. We had a large table with a lot of different food preferences and requests and everyone was pleased with their meals. I had the veggie crepe which was good and beautifully presented. I finished off the meal with sorbet and fruit over flavored ice which came MUCH larger than I thought with dry ice. It was great to share and also very good. I think it's a great place to have dinner one night if you're staying on the resort but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.More

Great setting and service was top notch. Food is a bit overpriced but the quality is strong. We had the short ribs (excellent) and Mahi-Mahi (very good). Appetizer- Umami Salad was great! Go near sunset for the best experience.

Located in a pool outbuilding, with a disappointing view (too far from the ocean to see much), I was expecting hotel food. Wrong. Wife's pork entree was her best on the trip and I had a very good fish disk. We ate on pool patio...which is disappointing for a Ritz. The service was decent. People seem to be complaining about the food prices, but this was a relative bargain compared to what we encountered in the C -19 inflationary Maui price onslaught.More

Not worth the drive unless you’re staying close. Service very poor and food mediocre at this point in time. A shadow of its former self. Certainly not worth a visit at current price/quality levels unless you’re staying at the Ritz and don’t want to go...out.More

It's a lovely outdoor setting for dinner overlooking the Pacific. The service was very good. There was nothing wrong with the food, we just didn't find it inspired, but again I imagine it depends on what you order and what's going on in the kitchen...at the time. Nothing particularly stood out, but we enjoyed ourselves. It really is a beautiful setting.More

Fantastic decor - the place was full of flowers. We dined next to a gorgeous large white orchid. The food was not quite what I expected by a high class establishment. The two ahi plates we tried were a disappointment. The tartare was simply thin...slices of tuna with a few garnishes on the side. Salt, onions, and a couple more. Really? And the main ahi plate was not much better. More tuna slices like the ones in the tartare. Better overall presentation and taste, but why have two of the same? I expected more imagination. The mushroom tartare was good. The vegan ginger curry ok but not spectacular. The only exceptional plate was the steamed mahi-mahi, with two worth savoring garnishes. Overall, an ok experience. If you stay at the ritz, try it. But not worth making the trip if you are not.More

Yes, this is a hotel restaurant. Yes, it’s at a resort. But this was one of the best meals we had on Maui. It was pricey, an no kids menu, but I do recommend this restaurant.

We stayed at the Ritz and had dinner here and would highly recommend it! Our waiter (Ara) was fantastic and the food was absolutely delicious! Our favorite was the burrata salad and the black garlic glazed beef short ribs! Absolutely phenomenal!
