Gave this place another chance and so glad I did! It's a seafood lover's paradise. Food was absolutely outstanding in flavour and presentation. Service was brilliant too. I had tempura langoustines to start, they were amazing. I saw it on the menu and it said with a 'sweet chilli sauce' which I assumed would be out of a bottle, as... More

We visited the farm shop next door to their restaurant, which if the standard is the same as the shop I would certainly visit next time I am in Ayre. The produce from the shop is absolutely delicious. If you go in buy the homemade bread, wow!!!! With some of their hot salmon pate you have a perfect combination. It... More

We adore this place. Fish dishes that surprise, great prices and service. I have a dairy intolerance and they always adapt dishes for me. The mixed platters are incredible but you need a huge appetite or share. Unlicenced so you take your own booze, which makes it even better!

Just had another excellent lunch here. Small and informal but the food is always of a high standard and the service friendly and welcoming. A very user friendly menu because - as the portions are very generous - it is possible to take, for example, 2 starters or to choose from the "Lighter Catch" menu. Ideal for lunch or for... More

We enjoyed a delicious lunch at Fins. The food is consistently good. They specialise in seafood but also do steaks. They don't have a license for alcohol, but you can bring your own wine. One of the specials for the day was lobster and chips. For a starter we had their own brown bread and a balsamic and olive oil... More

We were taken to Fins by some locals. The first thing that appealed to me was that you could take your own wine and the corkage is only £3. Primarily a fish place, but carnivores are catered for. We all had fish and the Lemon Sole was just out of this world. The fish is so fresh and they also... More

What a jewel if you like seafood. If you are looking for a cheap lunch this is not the place to go but if you are looking for relaxing lunch and friendly staff then you are on to a winner. The food is fresh and cooked to order and delicious. Menu is small (they don't cook only fish there are... More

Drove the hour and a half journey up from Dumfries to try this place as we love our seafood and very glad that we did. The restaurant is quaint and staff were friendly only slight irritation was the table with a bunch of noisy kids which came in just after 6pm. Ordered both the hot and the cold seafood platters... Bargain half lobster for £14.99 with excellent chips. A plate of the freshest oysters and very reasonable corkage of £3. Don't forget to book and bring your own alcohol.
