Roughans first floor coffee shop and bistro has an unrivalled outlook over Portstewart Promenade to the Atlantic Ocean. Whilst the mesmerising sea is always changing, the coffee and cuisine at Roughans remains the same - Great. Maybe it's not the trendiest Coffee shop but it is a homely place with welcoming, friendly staff and free WiFi of course.

I was in yesterday with my wife and received great service and fantastic panini's when these 2 women with about 10 children barged up past 6 people in the q at the till and took 3 full tables and more chairs from other tables with ice-cream. Now this is a very beautiful coffee shop which was very busy and her... More

Avoid the queues at Morelia, this is much better and worth the short queue wait. Brilliant and different selection each time I go

Located on the promenade this place shifts a lot of ice-cream! There was a queue albeit moved fast. Nicest ice-cream we've tasted in a long time with a huge choice of flavours! Reasonably priced too.

Call in most Fridays Have a guy I meet for coffee who just loves the view. Well this time they out did themselves. We had an Americano each and a scone. White chocolate and raspberry. What a scone. It was amazing. Presented perfectly and nearly a meal in itself. The staff are excellent, the view, I know it's only coffee... More

I've never had a nicer coffee out, the coffees they sell are better than Spanish coffees which are incredible! Definitely sell the best coffee in Ireland! All of the food the sell is to such high quality and all tastes amazing, I love all of the different types of ice cream flavours you get too!

One of my daughters favourite cafe's and I can see why. The hot chocolate was the best I have ever tasted and the wide selection of desserts and cakes took us all by surprise. We all had panini's and bagels to start which were soft and very delicious. We couldn't resist the desserts, especially the banoffee and strawberry cheesecake, absolutely... More

Amazing fry and great Coffee, 5 of us were not disappointed. Will definitely come back for their desserts as they look amazing. We were told it was under new management and you can clearly see they have upped their game big time. View is the best on the Promenade.

We visited Roughans last week and I can honestly say it was the best place to visit on the North Coast by a mile. Desserts were to die for as was the soup with the stout wheaten bread. The view is amazing and the girls are extremely friendly and attentive. We noticed how they continually cleaned the floor which impressed... More
