Had an excellent mid-week lunch here, well cooked, imaginative menu, decent sized portions, friendly but professional staff, relaxed atmosphere. All that was great. However, it isn't cheap - nearly £100 for the two of us (three courses and coffee but no wine). The food was well worth it but it seemed at odds with the décor and general atmosphere which... More

The food was superb , the beef is excellent as was the pork and the amazing crackling. All served with a full range of wonderful vegetables and proper roasties. Staff are friendly and helpful and contribute to the atmosphere of what is a proper British pub but with blue riband cooking.

I frequent The Longs Arms on a regular basis, simply because there is nowhere that even comes close to the experience offered. The food is exemplary with a great deal of imagination that goes into the extensive menu.

I had been recommended The Longs Arm by friends and was not disappointed. The atmosphere is great. The waiter and waitresses are very helpful and efficient despite the pub being very busy. The food was delicious. Will certainly go back.

We went to Longs Arms expecting the best after they were nominated for a UK foodie award. Didn't get that. It wasn't bad, just not great. The setting is lovely with a very local feel. Just didn't love the food like we expected to. Maybe they changed chefs since the award or maybe the chef was away that night? If... More

We have visited this pub a few times now and has become one of our favourite places to come back to. Excellent food, always feel welcome, well kept beer-which is a must for my husband-and ice cream with flavours that you will not find anywhere else. Owners are very friendly. Always better to reserve a table, especially on Fri and... More

The pub is set in a lovely area with beautiful scenery all around. Before you arrive just one thing. There are three Longs Arms within a close(ish) proximity of each other and one of the two you'll be disappointed for sure. On arrival the staff were very welcoming and as it was early evening we even had a chat with... More

My Mum celebrated a significant birthday late last year and for a present we bought her a helicopter ride experience, flying from Bath Racecourse over Bristol, the city of her birth. She had an amazing time and we wanted to follow it up with an amazing meal. Not being from the area we used Tripadvisor to find a suitable place... More

This pub never disappoints and no wonder as it has won numerous awards. My husband had the cod in beer batter which was superb and I had the soufflé which is amazing with the addition of beetroot and garden salad. It was a tough choice as the beef and lamb both sounded amazing too. The chef sent us a little... More

I've eaten at the longs arms more times that I can remember; we went once and fell in love. But like the majority of people who have a fantastic experience, have never left a review. But when I see someone who is not mentally articulate enough to express balanced and fair review, instead they write a distorted hate campaign against... More
