We called in on a weekday, early afternoon. The cafe was busy but the waitress gave us a choice of a 'proper' table or a very comfy sofa area. Having reached the end of an exhausting dog walking week we collapsed onto the sofas! Drinks quickly arrived and the food soon followed- panini, sausage melt and lasagne. All the food... More

A return visit and pleased to say the food and we were not disappointed. We had a poor meal at another location the previous evening and it was nice to get see good service, excellent food and coffee. It made the trip to the Peak District worthwhile.

I visited on the weekend. We ordered two Americano coffees, quiche and a cheese and onion baguette with "griddled" potatoes. I really wanted to eat elsewhere and the other half convinced me to stay, so I thought I'd give it a try......really shouldn't have bothered. The short Scottish lady was abrupt and rude when taking my order at the counter.... More

Visited on a Friday lunchtime with three friends and were pleased to find that this cafe is as good as we were expecting with friendly staff, comfy seating and a good menu. I had a mocha and a jacket potato with chilli which was tasty although lacking spice (which is simply just my personal taste), whereas my friends ordered off... More

We came to Bakewell in search of the original pudding and ended up having an excellent lunch. Having visited the Original Pudding Shop we were directed to The Lime Lounge as a place they supplied with pudding. As we were peckish we had lunch -- the soup was excellent--Kath(our 101 year old) finished it off then had some of the... More

The Lime Lounge is located in the heart of Bakewell, about 100m from the river. Food was excellent, nice hearty breakfast with superb coffee. Staff were also helpful and polite. The place can get quite busy but that's normally a good sign!
