Lovely country pub. Soup of the day was hot and really tasty. Beer was perfect temperature and nice selection of wines. Real fires were on and nice cosy atmosphere. Will come again

My daughter treated me to Birthday lunch and we enjoyed it very much. They put a candle in my sweet and wished me happy birthday - nice touch ! Really nice pub with good atmosphere.

Very nice old pub, friendly, warm, nice fire and great views, and our Black Labrador was made most welcome in the bar area, food was well presented, home cooked, and great homemade chips, desserts were also good, and nicely priced. Would recommend this pub, bit out of the way, but worth the journey.

Called in for lunch with family. All round lovely experience. Staff very welcoming and efficient. Food was fantastic. My wife had the wild mushrooms on toast which she said was excellent. Great value for money. Will definitely visit again when in that part of the world.

Very gentle background music. Limited but adequate menu. Food cooked to perfection. Pleasant and friendly staff. Only sweet stuff on the dessert menu but a lovely cheese board produced upon the request of a sugar-averse almost diabetic. No hesitation in recommending and looking forward to returning.

Really beautiful tasty food and a lovely calm, cosy and home from home atmosphere. The decoration, furnishings, fairy lights and the character features add to the ambiance. The staff were very friendly and extremely polite, with every need catered for. I think this is my new local!

Very nice old pub with great food to match. Staff were very friendly and the beer was spot on. Well worth a visit. Would be good for a function too as very large inside.

We have eaten here several times this year and food has always been good. The only comment I would make is that there does seem to be a shortage of vegetables, I don't really feel that a choice of peas or mushy peas is enough. The desserts are very good but two of our party had identical desserts and there... More
