It was 9 years since we last visited and had a fantastic lunch outside on the terrace with our son. We came back this time on our own and had a lovely Sunday lunch inside the restaurant. Very friendly and welcoming.

If you're in the area this restaurant should be on your "hot list" - for lunch or dinner. You are completely assured of a warm welcome by your hosts Olga and Eric and a spoiling treat of local fare beautifully cooked and presented. Don't be in a rush though - this is a place to savour languidly. Today i had... More

The set menu (two or three choices for each course) was great value at 25€. It's run by a husband and wife team: Eric Grao does front-of-house, Olga Grao cooks. The confit of rabbit delicately flavoured with cinnamon and star anise, and garnished with Agen prunes, was a triumph!

This is a lovely village location husband and wife team with a Vietnamese French flair. A healthy menu with fresh salads, Carnard and Steak Entrecote clear favourites, cooked to perfection and superb Pichet of local Red. Well priced, a little slow on service when busy, book in advance its imperative.

My family and I enjoyed a great meal, which was prepared and cooked in front of us. We received a warm welcome and friendly service. Time was taken to explain the menu to us and discuss the ingredients. We all felt unhurried and relaxed from beginning to end, in fact time just flew by! We fully intend to return next... More

Delicious food in a warm, unpretentious atmosphere. One of the most enjoyable meals we've had in France. The "queue du boeuf" was a particular stand out.

La Haute Vigne was a very lucky discovery for two hungry couples for a late lunch. The manager welcomed us warmly and took care to explain the menu. We all enjoyed selections from the four course "Menu du Jour" which provided an interesting and varied choice. We were delighted by the subtle blend of flavours and the exceptional quality of the... We arrived in Castelfranc late, after finding all three restaurants in Albas closed, just as La Vigne Haute was about to close, but they fed the four of us a superb four-course lunch. I especially enjoyed my cod cooked in a spicy coconut sauce, and the creme brûlée, which was the best I have ever had. We enjoyed the ambience... More
