Tucked away in Thalpe, WB Villa serves some of the best Italian Food in the area. The Gnocchi in creamy truffle sauce is to die for and their Jumbo Prawns are Massive!!! The location is on a lovely part of the beach with white sand and clear turquoise water. If your lucky there are two friendly labradors who may come... More

I stayed at WB Villa with my boyfriend for 3 nights in December 2015. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the villa every day, except for one evening when we decided to explore Galle. Being Italian my self I can guarantee that every dish we tried tasted like authentic, delicious and high standard Italian food. We loved everything from... More

This is a great restaurant. There are not many tables so it has an intimate feel. It is well located with beautiful views. The antipasto plate was lovely - an array of cold meat imported from Italy. Pasta was the best choice for mains. Would be a lovely place to stay.

Genuine Italian cooking made freshly every day. Staff are sent to Italy to train. Small and intimiate on the terrace overlooking the beach Bigger hotels recommend their guests to go there

Wow, there are not many words I can gather to describe the incredible food I tasted here. I am almost delusional thinking back the Gastronomic experience I had there. My wife had the truffle gnocchi (so glad she couldn't finish it all so I got to have some), and I had the fettuccini carbonara (to most incredible fried ham, so... More

Ate here when staying at the Fortress a short tuktuk ride away. Its fairly small like lots of places around here but food, service and ambience lovely- amazing homemade pasta, good wine selection all in peaceful setting- the owners lovely dogs mooch around outside, grateful for attention of any dog-loving patrons too. Not cheapest option in area but high enough... More

Just can't say enough thanks to all the staff (Sanjeewa, Randika, Kumar) working at the villa. They treated us like family. So sweet, warm, attentative and helpful. We had the most wonderful 6 days staying there and enjoyed every bit of it. Food was just AMAZING. Signora Lucina makes homemade cantuci biscotti for guests and other stuff like pesto. She... More

Some of the best Italian food I've had in Sri Lanka. The place looks nice enough, but I've never stayed there so can't comment on the rooms and other facilities. I know the place is run by Italians and the service is excellent. I've only been there for meals and never been disappointed. Great selection, fresh ingredients and exceptional taste.... More

I would not normally have chosen an Italian restaurant when in Sri Lanka but this restaurant was recommended to me by a friend in London, anyway I would be delighted to eat in an Italian like this even in Rome - it was superb. Unfortunately we were the only table - out of season - but this did not detract... More
