We stopped to take pix at Moll's Gap and were thrilled there was a cafe where we could grab a bite! We started our day early and had not eaten. The food was delicious - home cooked, generous portions ... could not finish - The salads were fresh and quite lovely. We splurged and shared dessert! NOTE: Closed in the... More

This restaurant is located on a mountain ridge overlooking the Lakes of Killarney. It is about 20 minutes drive from Killarney and about 10 from Kenmare. The scenery is superb and clearly visible from the restaurant on the top floor. Food is very good, service was friendly and prompt. Downstairs is a shop selling books, souvenirs, and woolen goods.

You can't imagine how picturesque and stunning Avoca is. It's situated at the head of Molls Gap a gorge just outside Kenmare. The view from the restaurant is breath taking. The choice of foods and drink is good and the cakes are delicious. The shop has a great selection of locally produced goods, linens, preserves and craft items. Would definately... More

Visited here on a break away in Killarney was amazed by the views and thought it would be a good place to stop to plan our trip.....how wrong we were! Upon arriving we stood at the counter for 5 minutes while one staff member was preparing a sandwich and the other was having a cup of tea in the corner!... More

One of the best places we've ever been around Ireland. A very good spot for a relaxing stop over in the middle of the mountains in Moll's Gap. We'll visit again👍.

This cafe offers the usual wonderful, varied array of food and desserts that all Avoca Cafes seem to feature. Downstairs is a very nice array of high quality gifts, clothing, books, foodstuffs, etc. When driving through Moll's Gap, Avoca Cafe is a high quality pitstop.

Our host Brendan told us about this wonderful little place just a couple of minutes drive from Kenmare. The food was delicious and very fresh (a little expensive but worth it). The view was breath taking and plenty of parking. There was also a lovely shop which sold beautiful, well made clothes.

It may look a typical tourist cafe but they actually make their own bread, scones and cakes - so on that level its certainly not typical and the food was good quality - so I was pleasantly surprised and would call in again. The views are good if you have visibility - so that isn't guaranteed - we had both... More

This is a culinary experience not to be missed. Delicious salads, breads, cakes to be enjoyed in a restaurant with panoramic views of the Killarney National Park.
