This place was opposite where we were staying so got our custom on the way out to town and on our way back. Long thin pub, dark inside, but welcoming in a authentic Irish pub way. St Patrick's night when we visited, was complete with a singer, of course singing the old standards. Great atmosphere.

Beautiful place to stay outside when its a sunny day, or inside next to the fireplace with a coffee in a bad day.

Having returned eight months after my first visit to the Spaniard, the menu has been shortened considerably. The food was delicious, fresh and the pottions are monstrous. The service was friendly and efficient. Would definitely make a return visit soon. A vast improvement to the food experience last time.

We stopped here for a couple of drinks. Good selection. Big crowd inside during the day. We sat out. Staff friendly. Quite dark inside but atmospheric at the same time. We have been here a few times and hope to come back.

This is a wonderful place to stop by in Kinsale for a meal and drink. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the food was superb and the overall atmosphere is warm and cosy. We had the homemade soup of the day served with beard and butter which was absolutely delicious, followed by their "death by chocolate" dessert and coffee.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the Spaniard! Wonderfully comfortable, great food and outstanding staff. Would highly recommend having a dinner there. And the pub was hopping later in the evening...lots of local characters and tourists alike!
