I had a starter plate of mussels and then an open faced sandwich with Dingle Bay crab. WOW. The mussels were very tasty and fresh, but the crab was the best ever. The place is upstairs of a fresh seafood shop and right across from a Supervalu supermarket that I would love to take back home with all its contents.

Like many reviewers, going to The Fish Kitchen when visiting Bantry is a must. The quality of the food they produce from the modest kitchen is truly outstanding. The fact that this excellent restaurant is always busy is a sign of its popularity. The soda bread is very good and there is an excellent choice of dishes. The fish dishes are... More

We come to Bantry twice each year on average and always make a point of booking a table at The Fish Kitchen, it is reliably excellent. The food is mainly simply-cooked fresh fish (as fish should be) done very well, with efficient and friendly service - the only place to eat if you are in Bantry

We came here on the recommendation of the owner of the B&B we were staying at. Neither I nor my friend were expecting what we found. We shared a two course fish platter. The only slight misstep was the seasoning on one of our shellfish (served in small morsels in the shell), where the salt bled into the liquid, leaving... More

I have always thoroughly enjoyed whatever I have ordered. The food is perfect. My mouth waters whenever I think of the Fish Kitchen. My husband and I eat there as often as we can. Dermott is charming and a wonderful host.

We five adults enjoyed an excellent meal. The menu is varied enough to require considerable thought before committing to a final choice. We all chose different mains and none of us were disappointed. The line-caught mackerel was especially good. The starter prawns were amazing, fresh, tasty and huge. Very attentive and friendly service in a very pleasant room. Would heartily... More

The manager of Bantry House recommended this seafood restaurant and we were not disappointed. The small restaurant is so popular that it can be very difficult to get in sometimes... we were lucky, and really enjoyed our meal!
