Everything we ate at the Roadside Tavern was absolutely delicious. Highlights included the goat cheese salad, the smoked salmon tagliatelle and the salmon on a creamy onion mash. The service is also excellent. Our waitress was super friendly and welcoming. I wish Lisdoonvarna wasn't so...More

Stopped off after visit to the Cliffs. Microbrewery on site so would recommend the Burren Red as an alternative to Guinness. Friendly staff. Quite busy. Didn't eat but menu looked good. Slightly off the main road so follow signs to the Smokehouse.

This little gem also brews its own beer that is quite tasty. We were here on a Monday night and it was still tough to get a table. When we walked in it was packed and a girl was playing the piano. We ended up...More

We really enjoyed getting dinner here. My mom had their smoked salmon and I had their beef burger. Doesn't seem like you can make a wrong choice on their menu. Would love to eat here again.

This is a charming pub that serves Burren Beer from the local micro-brewery (I highly recommend the Irish Red Ale). However the most important item of note is that they get their salmon from the Burren Smokehouse which ships their product world-wide. Without reservation, my...More

Sorry I cannot answer the question. I dined only in the establishment, and did not know that it was residential.

In spring 2011, Peter Curtin embarked on a new
endeavour: He set up the Burren Brewery in the Roadside Tavern in Lisdoonvarna. The building, which in 1865 started off as a pub, then was expanded into a bakery, now also harbours a micro-brewery under its roof. At the same time it is an eatery and a renowned music venue for traditional and contemporary music. Peter realised very quickly how complicated and time-consuming it was to brew his own beer - it really is a labour of love. He enrolled the help of a Master Brewer, and the result can now be tasted in the Roadside Tavern: The Burren Gold is a delicious, characterful lager. The mainstream lagers available every-where just cannot compete with this one!The Burren Red with its great red colour is a spicy, slightly sweet ale which even features a hint of smoke. It seems to become the favourite among the punters at the Roadside! The Burren Black is a stout that does not have to fear the competition of a certain other black stuff. It is smooth and full-bodied, with a creamy crown of froth on top - and definitely alive inside! A heavenly drink.
