We came across this Tea Room during a monsoon at the end of January -howling wind and driving rain. We were very grateful to enter the cheery warmth and a life saving pot of tea was rushed to our table immediately. We had soup followed by baked potato and lemon meringue pie. All delicious. We were impressed to see a... More

We nearly drove past this little treasure thinking it looked like nothing happens in Ballinahown and what could this cafe possibly have to offer us only tea and a scone?? Well....... this is a lovely unique styled cafe, cosy, clean & warm. Staff were attentive & friendly. The food was delicious, VERY tasty and portion sizes were A1+, pricing reasonable.... More

Both desserts were generous portions and very tasty. It was also refreshing to get a mug of coffee instead of a cup.

I vistied here twice in the space of a week and was not disappointed. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. There is a great atmosphere, it was busy when we visited but we were still were able to have a private conversation. Would highly recommend the Tea Rooms and look forward to visiting again.

Found this little gem quite by chance... what a lovely little tea shop, quaint and a real find. I had a delicious wrap, hubby had a panini, we both said best we'd ever tasted. Would definitely recommend and if in Southern Ireland again will pay a visit.

Just had a surprise "Afternoon Tea Party" as part of my wife's 40th birthday celebrations. Emma & Willie pulled out all the stops to ensure it was a memorable family occassion. Their attention to detail and quality of service was outstanding. Our party included 15 adults and 5 kids, with 2 of the kids with special needs. Emma & Willie... More

Stop for tea and a slice of cake, but don't forget the craft room downstairs! they've a nice collection of hand made items for sale and if you are looking for bog wood, this is the place to be. After you're done shopping, walk to the end of the street (towards the playground) and walk through the wood sculpture forest.... More

Myself and my dad stopped off here and had tea, which was lovely now I have to say, anyone looking for a crafty yet pretty, classy tea experience, here is where to go! It is just outside Athlone but I would say (or I hope) it does well usually. Lovely service and down to earth, fresh food :)
