Yet again a visit to this restaurant did not fail to impress me. I had great quality good food with decent sized portions and all served in a cosy spotless bar. What more could a hungry visitor to this town ask for? Well done to Tierneys.

Had lunch here today with a friend, food was gorgeous and staff were really friendly, have been going here for a long time but it's just so homely you can't resist it, it's definitely a place you'd always come back to without fail!

Staying for a few days in Clonmel, we came across this cosy, friendly, warm pub with good food and great service. If you are looking for fine dining - look elsewhere. If you are looking for warmth, attentive service and good home cooking you will find it here - don't visit Clonmel without visiting Sean McTierney's.

My husband and i had a rare night off from the kids over the christmas and instead of going away we decided to have a date night. We said we would go to Tierneys for a quick bite to eat before we went to the Cinema. The food and atmosphere was fantastic. We ended up staying there for the night... More

I stayed in Clonmel for a week and visited this pub twice, once alone, and the second time with my Mum & Auntie who came over. The food here is lovely - proper Irish grub. I had delicious smoked salmon and roast lamb. Sean himself served us & was a wonderful host! I highly recommend this pub for a proper... More

I was visiting Clonmel with my mum, dad and daughter, the trip had been arranged and researched as a surprise for my Mum who had visited as a young lady 60+ years earlier. Trip down memory lane. As part of the surprise I had checked out the restaurants Sean Tierney Bar and Restaurant were highly recommended as a lively place... More

We apologise that your visit was not up to what you expected. We do however take exception to your generalisation about our customers who have been with us for over 25 years and other restaurants in Clonmel who like ourselves have had to work very hard to keep businesses going in tough times. Just been told to have our dinner here by friends and I was so not disappointed! The Clonakilty Chicken is ... there are no words for such a level of flavour. The decor inside is wonderful, titanic inspired at the very back. The staff are just the nicest people I have ever been served by. If your driving by- dont.... More

Cute resturant filled with tons of different seating options - bar seating and comfortable "nooks" for larger parties. A great family environment with a good variety of food. I ate the best chicken goujons and french fries i have ever had!

Visited today with my mam. Lovely welcoming pub, really was looking forward to some nice filling food. Sat down and the man serving us was cold from the get go. Talked very fast, quiet and made us feel like he wanted us to eat and leave asap. Another lady checked in on us a few times, she was really lovely... More
