Overdue review! New residents of Europe, we delved into a year of exploration. Spain, France, Germany, Italy, England, Scotland, Norway, Finland, Denmark and obviously, Ireland. Without doubt, Burren Fine Wine & Food is the only food stop we still talk about, You know the kind of place-that hidden gem you just happened to stumble across just when you're about to... More

Only 2 km from Ballyvaughan, this little hideaway is a must. The website tells it like it is: "It is within these walls every Summer Season that you can enjoy a selection of tasty lunches from the menu, including healthy salads, homemade bread, scones and a range of mouth-watering desserts or simply just soak up the tranquil atmosphere with a... Seems that this place often closes for walking groups. Long way to come to find it closed. Poor website and no FB page to provide up to date info. The road signage is also pretty hopeless. My lesson is that there's plenty in offer in Ballyvaughn without wandering out here.

We stop in this place to have luch. The menu is not extensive but with good and tasty options. The service was good and the decoration is really particular and handmade.

We stumbled across this restaurant during our two week holiday in Clare. We enjoyed it so much we went back three times. Its in a fantastic woodland location with a lovely view of the Burren. It was all fresh local produce and very reasonably priced. The dishes are a little bit different and real thought has gone into the menu.... More

Had lunch with a friend here and it was delicious. I had the Bellini which had goats cheese, a local hard cheese, various delicious fresh salads and some bread. Very delicious and a generous portion. Perfect for lunch when you want a bit of everything and can't decide. My friend had the chilli pepper pizza. Spicy and a really thin... More

Visited in July close to afternoon closing time with the kids and found a nice rustic restaurant with a great wine selection. Its quite small inside and is probably not the best place for small kids. They had pizza which was ok and my wife had a nice soup. I went for a selection of smoked salmon and cheese which... More

This place is a bit of the beaten track, but well worth seeking out. Small, homely setting, good food, nicely presented and good service. As far as I know, they only do lunch.

We were out and about and wanting to find somewhere for lunch, and came across this little place entirely be accident. Yet another place in the area with a small menu and as we have said before, keep it small, keep it simple and prepare excellent food. Two of us had the walkers delight - soup, bread and salad followed... More

Thank you for your generous review. It was a pleasure to meet and talk with you, and remember to add the orange zest early in the cook and finish with the juice towards the end! More
