After a days golfing we were fairly hungry and as our usual go to place was fully booked, we said we would give McMunns a try. If your not a fan of fish, then maybe go somewhere else as the only alternative is Steak or Chicken. It seems to be a favourite for the local men to come in for... More

Our party decided to go to McMunns for lunch, their Google page says they open at 1.00pm and still does. When we got to the door it was shut, a notice stated they opened at 6.00pm. I contacted them on Facebook to inform them of their different opening times. They just dismissed me like I was an irritation. I will... More

lovely place to eat looking out at the Atlantic, food delicious but does not represent value for money we had fish and chips and the portions were generous but at 17.95 pricey this would have been 5 euro less in most other places we have similar the staff were attentive and on their game but two other couples that seated... Arrived on Sunday lunch with no reservation. Staff we very warm and welcoming. Excellent menu with a strong bias on using local small producers. Both mains and starters were excellent and well presented. We very much enjoyed our food and would return.

Sat by the window, but the view wasn't all that great. Husband ordered fish and chips which looked good but were average tasting. I had the pate. It came with one tiny piece of toast so I asked fro some brown bread. The pate was band and disappointing.

Went here on a ' will suit everyone' kinda thing but probably should have thought a little more about it. First of all I found it it expensive. Secondly, the very poor vegetarian selection is reduced immediately when they don't have half the items in stock. When the cod came out (it was delicious) every second chip was raw. When... More

The last time I ate at McMunns i was a bit down beat leaving. It's been a while but we met up with some friends recently and decided upon McMunns. My experience this time round was significantly improved. Food was exceptional. Ambience was a delight. We had an extrmely pleasant satisfying occassion. As I was the designated driver I ordered... Waitress acted like we were an imposition. Our 7pm dinner sitting meant we were the only ones there when we arrived. It took ages for her to take our order and then it took over an hour for our food to arrive. We were famished by the time our food arrived. It would have been nice to have been offered... More

Whenever I visit Ireland, I'm reminded of the quality of the beef, lamb and seafood. Great seafood chowder too. that and a Guiness and Im a happy guy. McMunns excels in each of these departments, with typical Irish hospitality and a classic ambiance.
