First thing I must say the selection of meals was good. The meals when they eventually came were hot. However, in waiting for these meals things went downhill. The staff hadn't a clue what they were supposed to do.I do not know whether they were school girls working for the summer or not. They were simply untrained and there seemed... More

After a long walk around Birr, we came and chilled out in the Bar. Had some drinks and the girls coloured in and read, whilst I relaxed and watched the cricket final.

Returned to the County arms with friends after a stint of aquarobics. It was great to see that the pub area had been re furbished and was very light and the furniture was very comfortable and spacious. Lunch was tasty and was at an affordable price. The staff were very attentive and very friendly. One of the owners actually came... More

The bar menu in this hotel is a very good choice for a great value meal. Service was extremely friendly. Prices were good and the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. Food choices were great and the quantities were perfect. We asked for and ordered some choices that were even not on the menu with no problem or hesitation from... More
