In this area, this is the most stylish restaurant with the best food. It seems to be entirely run by a husband, wife and I don't know how many kitchen staff. The declinaison de foie gras is divine.

We discovered this wonderful restaurant by chance and how we were rewarded !! There is a superb very French ambiance the majestic fireplace where some of the meals are cooked . We dined on Australian lamb cooked to perfection and watching the chef plate up in front of the fire was lovely and an inspiration. The gravy was served in... More

This restaurant is now called "Aberge De L'Arnoult" We are staying in the area and visited because of the good Tripadvisor reports and were not disappointed. We chose three courses from the set menu and was excellent value for €28:50. The restaurant owner speaks very good English and explained all the course choices in great detail. Each of the first... We have visited L'Eloise several times when in the area visiting friends it never fails to serve the most stylish and excellent food. It is somewhere different and is open all year as we do not always visit in the height of summer. We were there on Tuesday, 7 of us to celebrate my husbands birthday - service and food... More

Sorry to say but the food was not as expected. We had the chicken supreme which was advertised as being stuffed with chorizo. It had in fact a thin piece of cheap garlic sausage pushed under the skin and was almost cold. Three tiny fried potatoes on a cocktail stick, mine were reheated. Odd bits of fried vegetables arranged around... More

Our party of four thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and experience of eating here. It was great value too. All of our dishes were of a high standard, the wine reasonably priced and the waiting staff were courteous and very helpful. The cheeseboard was to die for. It was that good that we ate there on successive nights. Highly recommended.

Consistently good french country restaurant that I have visited 20+ times over the last decade or so, and my de facto favourite in the area. The food, service and atmosphere are very high quality and the cheese board is superb! They also cook some simpler steak and barbecue dishes over the fire 'in the chimney' (perhaps only at lunchtime), which... More

This is our second time at L'Eloise, and it didn't disappoint the second time around! This is apparent by the need to make a reservation and the place quickly filling with locals. There were four of us and with three courses each plus a bottle and a half of win, €150 was great value for the quality and service. Two... More

My husband and I have eaten here before but a few years ago now and have wanted to visit again but not had chance. We decided that today we would go back and experience their wonderful food again. The place was already filling up when we arrived at 12:40 but we were soon shown to a table in the far... More

Exceptional 'typical' food for a very reasonable price: 30 Euro for 3 courses/27 Euro for 2 courses. We never experienced this quality of food (delicious cold asparagus soup, perfect grilled meat, unforgettable 'clafoutis' dessert with cherries and rhubarb), and finally good house wine. Furthermore, if you are staying in an bed & breakfast, you get a free appetizer (Pineau des... More
