My wife and I enjoyed dinner here last year with four French friends. A wonderful choice of meals on the menu and excellent quality wines. The chef produces a range of mouth watering food made with local Breton produce and the service is really top...class. When we get to Gourin in the next week or so we intend to invite our friends to share our table in celebration of my birthday in August.More
A GEM!!!! in Gourin, Brittany
While visiting this region of Brittany, you must enjoy either lunch or dinner in this wonderful restaurant. Local food from the Brittany "terroir".
The chef is doing an extraordinary work.
The service by the Owner lady is impeccable.
We visited with friends last night and had the most splendid meal. We couldn’t fault anything - fabulous food, fabulous jazz music, friendly and interested service and a beautiful setting. I recommend this restaurant highly and will be back - I hope!
This place never disappoints. Superb food at very reasonable prices.
Today, the chef made really good use of micro herbs and flowers in a salad starter that was unusual and delicious.
The main of white fish in a shellfish sauce with asparagus and broccoli was...even better.
All for 14€ each at lunchtime. Slightly more expensive at night but there is a more extensive menu.More
Having been living in this area for a number of years we had never had chance to visit this lovely resteraunt before but it will becoming one of our most visited soon enough, cant believe Ive not been here before.
To sum it up one...word comes to mind "Fantastic" in my opinion this is the best restaurant for miles the atmosphere the food the service the setting all absolutely superb,
To check it wasn't a one off hit we went again the following week and not surprisingly the outcome was the same, its very well priced I have paid a lot more for a lot less in many other places, this is now my favorite local restaurant.
The setting is exceptional with a great homely friendly atmosphere but the food well it was so good far exceeded our expectations, all local produce cooked to perfection, cant wait to go again.More
This is an excellent restaurant, very cozy and a lovely roaring fire in the Winter! Generally the menu is chosen from local produce with the names of the suppliers alongside on the menu board. There is often a set menu with several choices for a...set price, otherwise it's a la carte with individual prices. .More
Snug restaurant in centre of town. Lots of nearby parking. Friendly ambiance. I am not a fan of "background music" but here it was subtle and some great jazz to match decoration theme. Good wholesome and interesting food. Service a bit slow but not annoyingly...so. Down side is the number of internal small changes of level and steps. In general a good placeMore
We were travelling back to U.K. the following day, when friends suggested we have lunch at this restaurant. It was such a hot Monday morning when we set off for Gourin.
On entering the building it appeared to be a bar but when shown through...to the restaurant it was already quite busy.
We chose from a menu that had 2 choices at each course.
The food was absolutely beautiful, I only wish that there was a restaurant like this in our area in U.K.
I had a salad to start followed by cod served with a chorizo crumble with vegetables.
My dessert was amazing- a chocolate mouse served with enormous, beautiful raspberries.
I hope when we visit Brittany next year we will be paying a visit to Le Table de Morvan.More
I last dined here in December with friends and reviewed the restaurant then.
Two of us dined this weekend on a short trip down to Brittany.
The menu has completely changed, with the same formula of three choices per course. All the ingredients are still...locally sourced and the food was as tasty and exciting as ever.
How the patron does it on his own in the kitchen, I do not know.
Madame on her own front of house still impresses me. There were nearly forty covers to cater for, and yet she never seemed hurried or flustered.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone within an hour or so of Gourin. The journey is definitely worth it.
I will be back again, shortly I hopeMore
