The meal that we had in this establishment tonight was a wonderful experience. We vacated the nearby eating place because the noise was so bad that we could not hear the waitress or ourselves. We went straight to Waimea and how pleased we were! It was warm, welcoming and the decibels were within a normal range. Haha! The next wonderful... More

We had the private room upstairs today for my father in laws wake. When we arrived the sun was setting the view of Kapiti island and the beach was spectacular. Upon arrival Lawrence had arranged antipasto platters and hot seafood platters which were both lovely. We then had any choice on the menu fish and chips, pork belly, chicken breast... More

Our family booked a brunch/lunch to celebrate our anniversary and we were given the upstairs area. It was a beautiful day and the view was stunning over the ocean and Kapiti Island. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble. An ideal venue.

love this place especially on a sunny morning for a cup of coffee and scone. Had lunch there a few times - have to say was a bit disappointed - not much of a choice and quite expensive for what we got,

Gorgeous food tonight. Cesare's meatballs amazing! John Dory pan fried melt in your mouth perfect and then into the Frangelico semifreddo. Attentive staff. 10 minutes Paraparaumu Beach to Waikane Beach now thanks to the expressway and food this good makes going out on a crappy wet Thursday night worthwhile.

Enjoyed a pleasant Brunch here over Easter. The food was nice but not extraordinary, but $26 for a full breakfast strikes me as a bit expensive. The kids menu wasn't available until after 11am, so there was only one real option for our 9 year old, and at $16 for one pancake and some berries, again it was over priced.... More

Friendly but slow service. Two dishes on the menu not available which was only brought to our attention once we had started making our choices. Quick to take our drinks order but then took over 15 minutes to deliver it. It wasn't busy so slow service could not be put down to having too much custom. The meals took a... More

After reading some favourable reviews I booked a table for saturday at 730pm We arrived at 705pm looking foward to the experience. We were seated with the breakfast/brunch/lunch/Cocktails/wines/dinner menus already in front of us,a veritable book.I noticed ominously that there were unlit candles on every table .We ordered some nice wines which ended up the highlight A waiter then appeared... Visited Waimea in March with a friend for lunch. The two staff who waited on us were very pleasant and helpful, but the food (on this occasion) left a lot to be desired. I ordered the Waimea Caesar Salad which was hugely disappointing. I must admit that it is very difficult to get a decent (and original) CS, but this... More
