Had a great brunch with friends. Lovely local produce, friendly staff and a lovely garden courtyard at the back. Nice spot for dining.

Very nice dinner. Great clam dish. Can't recall what my wife and daughter had, but all very good indeed. Good service too. Also went here for coffees and breakfast; also good.
Like the front room for the dog friendly back garden. That said the coffee yesterday was undrinkable, we left it behind, and went next door. The food is great but will be checking whether the tall bald guy is making coffee before we go back.
Called in here again with my Brother from out of town. Although a damp day, we enjoyed the normally good coffee inside with a cake, and read the free newspaper. This is a good café, especially on a sunny day, sitting out the back in the courtyard. Beach is only a stones throw across the road, and plenty of parking.... More
Went out for a family dinner, and our meals were all very delicious. Not a lot of vegetarian options, but I got a large kimchi and the sauteed broccoli. Both extremely tasty (though if you're not one for spice, the smaller kimchi would suffice). Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals! Service was extremely friendly and helpful. The only fault I could... More
I went with my adult daughters, my eldest daughter was visiting from San Francisco. Restaurant had an interesting menu...I had ham off the bone, with nice sides I had never tried before. We sat out in the shaded part of the garden as it was a sunny day. We were amused by all the owners with their faithful well behaved... More
Epic night of food, company, service and food. Amazing. Had previously written a bad review during a day cafe stop, but this experience was hands down my best restaurant experience on the Kapiti coast.
We visited for dinner last night and took my elderly mother. The staff were young friendly and on top of their game. The food was beautiful and would compare to any city restaurant
This place is obviously run by people who love their jobs. The service and food is the best and friendliest I have experienced anywhere in the world. Very, very tasty menu and certainly thought through. I love this place and make a point of travelling to Waikanae whenever I am in NZ to eat at the Front Room.
Nice garden to eat in. Limited lunch menu. I chose the chicken burger which was horrible. The unknown section of chicken was just skin and gristle in a batter coating, drowned in an overpowering sauce. I had to leave it. Service was good and others in the group found their food acceptable. Won't return.
