Spent a weekend at The Friars and three meals a day were included in the price. All meals are in the communal refectory which is a great hall in an original tudor building. Disabled access not a problem. Breakfast was a great selection of fresh fruit and yoghurt, porridge, pastries and a full hot breakfast. Tea or coffee and bread... More

15 of us arrived with our bicycles for a pre arranged lunch. We had been ably assisted by The Priory team, who had e mailed us advance menus, in order that we could pre- order our lunches. When we arrived at around 1.00 pm, we were warmly welcomed, and shortly thereafter out food orders arrived. The food was fresh, well... More

This is a stunningly beautiful location but you are better off bringing a picnic. We came here with the children and ordered sausage rolls for them. We waited half an hour despite the restaurant being empty. When the sausage rolls arrived they were so salty the children couldn't eat them. The meat itself was tough and gristly. We had a... More

Had excellent snack as tea room closed due to having roof Thatched. Good price and freshly made baguettes, not stingy on filling either. Nice pot of tea and being served in an Old fashioned china pot sure it made tea taste better.

Whilst exploring the Priory we stumbled upon the Pilgrims Hall Restaurant. Glad we went in as a unique and serene setting with friendly service, simple but tasty menu.

We enjoyed a nice lunch here during a work training day. Good variety of choices and staff were friendly and attentive. We were a big group so pre-booked our food for a speedy service as advised when booking the table which was helpful. The pilgrims hall is within aylesford priory, it was nice to have a walk about the beautiful... More

The coffee and cake were good value and tasty, great atmosphere due to the age of the building; pity the tables were not cleaned as this made the place look uncared for. I would avoid pilgrimage days at The Frairs as the place would be extremely busy.

Pleasant place, but very limited choice of lunch-style food. No toasted ham and cheese sandwich??Also very basic choice of hot drinks, coffee even ordinary coffee shops in Tesco, Sainsbury can offer latte, cappuccinos or other choice of teas.
