We have never had a bad meal here. The dining room is well laid out, white tablecloths (what a treat) and friendly staff. The food is reliably good, with fair sized portions. There is plenty of choice although the menu doesn't change, but all is cooked on the premises. Good car park at the back.

Have just returned from a late lunch, and found the place to be way above itself, trying to be something they are not. Its a village pub at the end of the day but the prices are extortionate, £8 for a sandwich consisting of 4 triangles??? we ate in the dining room and picked off the menu, we were told... More

What a terrible meal had by all here. Treated our grandchildren out for lunch boxing day this year, and have been here in the past, but today was especially poor. The service was not hurried in fact I think they forgot about most of the customers in the last session!! Won't be seeing us again!!

Five of us visited The Kings Head on a busy Saturday night to celebrate my Mums birthday. Her venue choice and I must admit a very good one! We were welcomed and served drinks by a very friend bar man & quickly shown to our table. Which we had booked in advance - something I strongly recommend if you want... More

We found this place by accident when my daughter bought her wedding dress just up the road. I had travelled 140 miles but the food and service was outstanding, that was in April and we have visited a further 3 times as it is a good place to meet my daughter! I booked a table for yesterday and good job... More

Had a meal here to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was absolutely delicious. Monkfish starter was succulent with a lovely dipping sauce and salad. Main course of medallions of pork was so tasty.

Visited on a Saturday evening and the food was excellent, service first class. Well worth a visit. All areas of the pub/restaurant are well decorated and immaculate. Disabled access and facilities are good.

We had come from our home in the industrial Midlands ( well it used to be) to visit our old friends Tarquin and Samantha, who live nearby, for the weekend. They brought us here for Sunday lunch. It was great. The ambience and decor were excellent. The food was lovely. I had whitebait to start followed by belly pork. This... More

Food excellent, from a fairly good menu. Staff attentive for the most part. Price a tad high (delusions of grandeur?), except on Wednesdays, when a "two for one" offer attracts a more cost-conscious clientele!
