You walk into a house that has been turned into a restaurant. The decor is very French south West Country side looking and slightly dark but that's the charm. The food is to die for ! The pork soup is out of this world as well as the foie gras ! Every thing that lands on your plate is fresh... More

After visiting Chateau Monbazillac we arrived at the restaurant for our lunch. The restaurant offers authentic local food and specialities like duck and pates. We enjoyed every course that we ordered. Will definitely recommend it to our friends!

In Monbazillac near Bergerac you will find an excellent restaurant with dishes made from local ingredients, often with a touch of the Monbazillac wine. The host and his friendly and competent staff suggest good wines from the region, and we have never throughout many years been disappointed; neither by the food, the wine nor the kind reception we have had.... from the ambiance/decor/staffing/Phillipe/price you know you are in for a first class treat. Pricing is very fair and you could not be disappointed with the dishes as they arrive. the staff are attentive without being pushy and they think of things before you even have to ask. I started with soup - delicious with lots of beans, carrots and potato... More

We booked here for Sunday lunch en route to the airport at Bergerac. The welcome was warm and we sat outside under the awning. The service was pleasant and prompt and the food delicious as was the local wines. We particularly enjoyed starting with the cocktail du maison and finishing with the charlotte made with figs and nuts. The confit... More

The food here is sensational, the service is impeccable, and the portions are very generous. Over 5 heady courses we enjoyed some beautiful local fare and some superb cooking, washed down with some lovely local wines, which the friendly team and owner cheerfully and expertly guided us through. All for an incredibly reasonable price. Due to a mix-up we unforgivably... More

They have the Asian chef. The food has French food presentation and that is about it. It is basically some kind of Chinese home made lazy cooking. I even see the "fish ball" on the dishes. The food is tasteless. Like throw the tomato and onion to the soup and cook.

We visited one evening with our children. The food and service were both great. The restaurant is well worth a visit if you're in the area.

a couple of years ago now we tried this place for an April birthday. It was busy, the service perfunctory and the food poor. There were four of us and we waited for an age before anything arrived. The epitome of its lack of quality was that the steak I had ordered was stone cold when it arrived. It had... More
