Great food, can recommend the Derbyshire burger and the Steak Ale and Mushroom pie. Home brewed beer has a unique taste and was so good we bought some take out. Excellent food knowledge by the staff, friendly atmosphere.

Came across this place on a recent motorcycle tour of Derbyshire. Once parked up entered in a drank some fine Ale and ate some wonderful food. Great place!

Staying at the local camp site this is a great place for proper food. Sensibly priced & home made if u r lucky you can eat outside and have a great view.

If you are walking on Stanton moor and would like a decent pint then pop down the road to the red lion with its own brewery. The tawny ale was very good
