Really nice and varied coffee menu. They have their own plantations and make quality coffee. Saw 3 price cups for top positions in some Lao coffee competition on displays.
Good food as well. Enjoyed their fried rice.
Helpful staff and manager. Walked me through how to take local busses to vieng xay. Thanks a lot.

We went here on our drive out of Sam Neua and it was well worth the stop. It had heating when it was 8 degrees outside so that was definitely a highlight! One of the baristas was super friendly and gave us some tips for our drive down to Pongsavan.
Stop here if you can!

Went here for breakfast when on a tour as the hotel into which the tour people had booked us did not serve breakfast!?
Excellent coffee, all the dishes taken were good… the waffles and eggs!
Returned following day for repeat prescription.
Only flaw was that on day 2 there were small bottles of water on the table when we arrived which we assumed were complimentary… they weren’t.
Whilst the price of them was perfectly reasonable I’m not sure we would have drunk them had we known. That needs to be sorted out.
Otherwise a refreshing oasis in a pretty drab town

Wonderful experience at Yuni Cafe! We went there once for coffee. It was perfect! We went there again before leaving town for lunch. Everything we tried was delicious. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. All of their food is made in house from local ingredients by the staff. Their bread is wonderful. The waffles and syrup are amazing! The coffee is grown and processed there in the province. These guys are really making a difference there!
Definitely a must “go to”!

This cafe is taking care of local farmers and even offering an option to donate because for the consequences of devastating local landslides. So keeping up with western standards while helping and blessing the local community!

Great coffee and food in relaxed/ urban atmosphere, locals as well as foreigners like to come. They source their coffee directly from their own local farm. The ham and cheese sandwich is a must try. Great service!

How nice it was to stumble on this place after a 14 hour bus trip from Luang Prabang and a few hours sleep in a crappy hotel. Coffee the best we've in Laos and food was good value. A gem of a place in Sam Neua. Make sure you visit!

This is a wonderful cafe, great initiative and I would recommend everyone stop by on a visit to Sam Neua, especially if you are craving good coffee or a lovely, lovely place to sit with very reasonable prices. I loved it so much I went twice and was only sorry to have reached my coffee limit or I would definitely have stayed longer.
I highly, highly recommend the iced Americano and a delicious chocolate brownie. And do my a T-shirt or some coffee from them to support their excellent work with coffee farmers.
This is absolutely a must see place in Sam Neua and I would like to say thank you to everyone working there for such a great experience

My friend and I went there and not only did we get a nice lime mint freeze and good ice cream, but also tourist information! Such a big help in a place where almost nobody seems to speak English.
Tyler, the owner, helped us book a cheap taxi to go to the Vieng Xai caves and also helped us out the next day when the driver tried to rip us off. Thank you!

First of all: The place is not at the currently in the TripAdvisor App noted place. It’s situated at the main road from the bus station down to the monument on the right side (next to that open place)
About 20.41277°N 104.04838°E - Maybe someone could correct that ;-)
The location is nice and clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
I had a Lao style latte (which actually seems to be some kind of espresso with a litte but milk as side) and two lemon mint smoothies.
The coffee was fine. Liked it but had the impression sugar had beed added.
For the lemon mint smoothie, the first one was perfect. Not sweet but the mint and sour taste you’d expect. Unfortunately this made me to go for a second one. On this they seemingly forgot the lemon and put in pretty much sugar. Very unfortunate.
Verdict: Nice place and for Xam Neua a good place to get some coffee. But better as for non sugar and sweeten for yourself. A 3 in some busier town but a for around here.
Can’t say anything about the food.
Would I visit again? Yes.

I really wish this review could be better. Sam Neua desperately needs nice cafes and restaurants. The decor at Yuni Cafe is lovely - industrial, urban chic - and the coffee is quite good. Unfortunately, the food is a let down. I ordered one of the breakfast sets. It should come with fruit and juice. It did come with a nasty cheap juice but no fruit. I asked for scrambled eggs and got fried eggs. I asked again for the scrambled eggs and got an omelette. Hardly major issues but it would be so easy to get it right. The menu offers a very limited range of sandwiches and a few desserts. I hope this place survives and thrives as Sam Neua is really lacking decent food outlets but some more work is needed in terms of staff training and menu expansion.

We're glad you enjoyed the coffee, and thank you for being a part of developing the coffee industry in Northern Laos by stopping by! Showcasing locally-produced coffee is our main goal at Yuni Coffee Co. Cafe, and we're also happy to provide the community with a few western food options. It was our pleasure to serve you, and we hope you stop by again if you're ever back in Xam Neua!

I spent two days in Sam Neua last August and had all my meals at this coffee shop...Why?..For a start this restaurant is super clean and inviting-important considerations when eating anywhere. The coffee shop is right in the centre of town, service is prompt and very friendly and the food, while somewhat limited in variety,is well prepared, well presented ,appetising and goog value for money.....I am happy to recommend this place and give it 10 out of 10...Well done to the friendly staff and the friendly owner-Steve/Stephen?

Yuni Coffee Co is a gem. Owned and operated by a family originally from the USA, Yuni Coffee Co grows and roasts a variety of blends locally. The cafe is modern and rustic, serving American style breakfasts. The owner was personable and friendly, the English speaking staff efficient. We highly recommend Yuni Coffee Co.
