After then long drive from Melbourne, it was lovely to have the super down to earth, happy service from the people here. Great local wine selection, and amazing cherry beer! Pork terrine was delicious, and lots of spots to sit out side in sun or shade - we will be back...

This is a great friendly restaurant as part of a mini brewery (Instead of a single beer at the bar you can get a tasting sample of most of their beers - great fun) It is lovely to be greeted cheerfully and attended to happily - many of the staff are local and it shows in their friendly spirit. Eclectic... More

We'd just done 3 MTB rides in Forrest, cycling our hearts & lungs out, so what better way to finish than a beer, a meal & a tasting paddle at this excellent, friendly cafe brewery! Well worth the visit!

We went here for lunch one day and on the way home dropped in for morning tea the next day. Our meals and morning tea were all good. The staff were really friendly. It gets very busy on weekends so it may pay to ring ahead and book a table if you don't want to be disappointed. There is a... More

Happened across this place on our drive back from The Great Ocean Road to Melbourne. It was a chilly morning and we were looking for a place to grab some coffee. You'll find a very quirky mix of décor in this little country brewery, old mismatched chairs and tables, stuff hanging on the walls, knitted blankets on offer if you... More

Forrest Brewing Company. Thanking you for sharing your experience. I love the 'quirky mix of decor'comment. Yes, we are a little quirky, but strive day to day to offer great country hospitality, fantastic in-house brewed ales, great coffee, and humble local produce meals. Hope to see you again. Regards. We rode up from Loane and were pretty tired. We were treated with a smile and all ordered coffees and slices to refuel. Great service and the coffees were full of flavour and the correct temperature. Slices were amazing but I also think we were all pretty hungry at that stage. I'll make sure I come back later in the... More

If your visiting forest then do yourself a favour and visit the Forrest Brewing Company. They are very generous in terms of try before you buy...in fact I had to say 'stop, I have a pale ale'. They are understandably proud of their product and the beers were very enjoyable. The Brewery serves food and was quite busy.

What a hidden gem! This place makes amazing beer and their food was spot on. The service was absolutely brilliant. It is a little out of the way but if you can make the detour and just sit back and enjoy an imperial stout if you can.

We stumbled on this gem, it was terrific! We had lunch - between us we had pork terrine, tomato salad with goats cheese, octopus and slow cooked beef cheeks. All the dishes were so fresh, cooked with quality ingredients and presented so well. The Forrest beers are brewed on site and everyone thought the beers are excellent. Pity we live... More

Stopped off for a mid morning coffee and snack. Extremely welcoming as soon as you step inside. Ordered two extra hot cappuccinos and apricot slice to share. Too nice a morning to be inside so we sat outside and soaked up the early morning sunshine. So relaxing - what a magnificent setting. Lovely little town. Coffee was perfect and the... More

Description
Forrest Brewing Co. Is a small sibling owned microbrewery combined with a relaxed dining hall. Equal parts microbrewery, eating place and mountain biking hang-out. This 4 year old business has established a reputation for good food & great beer in the tiny Otways village - Forrest.

Our brew house door and restaurant are housed within the former Forrest general store. The space is designed with a warm rustic feel and touches of reclaimed timber. Outside the sawn log tables look out across the valley and catch the sunshine and sunsets. Our kitchen serves fresh, informal, locally sourced food, paired with craft beer, local wines and freshly roasted coffee.
