Reviewed yesterday NEW

Looked forward to visiting this new establishment, but the food was frankly not good. The herby chicken was over cooked, tough and tasteless. Portions were small - one tomatoe and a mushroom with a few chips in a basket with the flattened chicken breast. The accompaniments for the burgers all came in little pots - why? Service was OK, with... More

Nothing awful, nothing fantastic, very standard pub food. I had a steak, it wasn't seasoned, my other half had a burger, he said it was very dry and did not have a huge amount of taste. Fine if all you're looking for is average food. However quite expensive for the quality you receive. Interior is nice and modern though.

Lovely food. Had the Fish & Chips and it was excellent. The risotto looked good too. Prosecco and a pudding platter to share can be recommended. Quiet when we visited but lots of room between tables and a nice atmosphere created by freindly and efficient staff.

Went on a Friday evening, early booking. First time we've visited place was rebuilt. I had steak and my wife had gnocchi. The steak was ok, some chewy fatty bits that I couldn't eat. My wife's gnocchi was served with peas, which is a first. And a last. The chips we had were good, the salad uninspiring and not particularly... More

This was my 2nd visit and was as good as the 1st , yes you could look at the menu and think it's a little expensive but the quality of the food and good portion sizes makes it worth it ! Friendly attentive staff , good atmosphere !! Can recommend both the wild mushroom lasagne and the fish and chips... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night. Our room was beautifully decorated, clean and homely. It was a large size with a king size bed, sofa, wardrobe, bedside tables, dressing table and large ensuite. Breakfast was included, served in their basement dining room. I would definitely recommend people to stay there.

Best Risotto I have had in a long time! The staff are friendly and the pub is fresh and modern, though still with the welcome of a warm traditional pub restaurant. My next visit will another choice of the seasonal menu but maybe the Butternut Risotto will be the call of the day as again, it was delicious! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

After reading the brilliant reviews on Tripadvisor we were excited for our first visit to this restaurant, however we left feeling rather disappointed. We were seated at our table which we had booked on a Thursday night - it seemed a reasonably quiet evening - and our drinks order was taken and our food order shortly after. Staff seemed nice... Decided to try here for lunch mid week. Booked in advance which we were glad we did as it was surprisingly full for a Tuesday afternoon. Ordered the fresh carved ham salad which was lovely and very generous in portion size. The gluten free menu had a good variety and the herby chicken was nice. The decor inside the restaurant...
