I have a love hate relationship with Wetherspoons . But, will put that to one side, for now. The way the Security team helped a gentleman who had fallen over restored my faith. I over heard the lady on Security saying she was leaving soon,...shame, she was wonderful....More

I could not gain access to the pub at 1240pm on 3 September 2021. There was a chain across the rear entrance that said staff car park and the barrier was down on the front. I parked the car outside the chained entrance and asked...a member of staff why I couldn’t park. He replied that it wasn’t open yet and I would have to pay to park. I walked away while he was still talking to me. There is nothing on the pubs website that states this. I really don’t know how this pub is is still going. Definitely not recommended. I went to a Beefeater pub instead.More

The pub is in a lovely historic old building a short stroll from The Lexicon and near to the College. The hanging baskets outside, filled with bright colourful flowers, look really lovely and there is a nice garden area to one side where you can...sit on wooden tables with good quality umbrellas surrounded by trees and plants. We visited on two days running for drinks only. The staff that brought the drinks seemed very pleasant.. The outside tables were not being wiped down though and staff were incredibly slow to even clear them of empty plates and glasses. Customers were having to do this themselves!! In fact we returned to the same outside table the next day and you could clearly see that it had not been wiped down since we were there the lunchtime before. Now that's just not good enough, especially during these Covid times. I do hope this situation can be improved as soon as possible and then I would be happy to return to eat here and hopefully to give this place a much higher score.More

Nice building, pleasant staff who given who the work for deserve medals. Pleasant outdoor spaces until people turn up with food and and drink purchased elsewhere. Particularly annoying as many, many items on Wetherspoons menu were out of stock. The squatters had more choice than...paying customers!More

Previously a good place to visit. However I would like to say that is not so now. I arranged to meet a friend there today but found that the whole parking area was outside tables! Nearest car park was a fair walk away and as...I am currently suffering from a knee injury that was out of the question. We went elsewhere and will not be coming back to this particular place. I feel that this is a case of discrimination against anyone with a mobility issue in favour of maximising profit! SORT IT Wetherspoons!More

Yes, there is an ANPR system, but there is the ability to redeem up to two hours' parking fee against an order over £5. Disabled parking is only ONE space, but the former manager (Ian Lynskey) told me that I would be OK... More
