We had 3 course meals and were not disappointed with our choices, all delicious and well presented. The pistachio souffle is very nice! But the service was unexpectedly good also, there was a slight misunderstanding over our order and to our surprise, and without any...prompting on our behalf we had something knocked off the bill as a result. We walked out feeling like we'd been very well treated.More
We had an excellent Sunday lunch at The Cricketers. I had the fish which was mouth-wateringly delicious and my wife had the duck which she absolutely loved.
Then the puddings were so scrummy it was ridiculous - all for £20 for two courses which is...exceptionally good value for the quality of food.
The service was exemplary too so we will definitely be going back there very soon.
Lovely place, lovely service but the food really let it down today. Starters were great and then it went down from there unfortunately. Roast pork was powdery, potatoes were dry, yorkshire puddings were over baked. Chicken and beef meats were better but still overall let...down by everything else on the plate. Desserts looked great and it was hit and miss here also with most of us leaving dissapointed. However our service was great and they received the feedback really well. We hope to visit again and have a better dining experience as I hope it was just a bad day in the kitchen and they take onboard feedback for improvement.More
Excellent rural location, fab atmosphere & good table layout. Have been working our way through the various Blanc restaurants & the summer menu. All choices so far have been very good. The pistachio & choccie souffle was heaven. Next time may have to have that...for starter, mains & dessert!!
Thanks to all the great staff and particularly to our server Tom, he earns 10/10 for customer service and made our day.More
Went to the Cricketers to day for Sunday roast. What a disappointment. Everything was OK and just OK. I had pork and my wife had chicken. Both were average at best. Actually in a blind tasting I could not have said what meat it was!...Vegetables were bland and the Yorkshire Pudding was totally limp.
Overall would rate the roasts 5 out of 10. Desserts were better and would rate them 9/10. Service was courteous and efficient.
Absolutely excellent visit. The food was stunning. The staff where so friendly and accommodating. One of the best pub meals we have ever had. We where visiting from the Wirral but wish we lived locally. Thanks for helping to make our holiday amazing.
We had a most satisfying lunch in this very popular pub/brasserie on their terrace.
The most satisfying and surprising experience was the quality of food, specially their chef's imaginative selection of choices for the starters menu. The four dishes we've tried, each deserved a Michelin...star. Excellent professional service.
The only request we have, please change the very uncomfortable cushions or chairs outside.More
