I have just returned from one of the best Sunday Dinners I've ever eaten. I took my 83 year old grandma for her lunch out, she usually struggles with roast dinners and is unable to eat the meat or veg as it is always too hard BUT here at The Griffin the beef melted in your mouth, it was just... What a fantastic location. We had a weekend in Liverpool and booked in the Griffin about 10 miles outside the city. The price was good the room was excellent and the breakfast fantastic. The Inn was also able to cater for my wife's dietary needs ie gluten free diet. We will return.

Came here for lunch on bank holiday Monday. Quite popular but not overcrowded. Three of us had different meals and all were excellent, well presented and good service by very attentive staff. Dog friendly and she was well looked after with a bowl of water and some ham. Visited several times before and never dissapointed.

We decided to return here after a few years of not doing. Our absence was mainly due to the price of drinks last time. We visited about 4pm on Easter Monday. The menu was varied and very appealing. I decided on the Chicken Chasseur, which came with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The presentation was beautiful. I was expecting chunks of chicken... More

We had a fantastic meal at the Griffin for my daughters 18th. We were a large party and all the food came out hot, on time and all served at the same time. It was great quality and the staff were amazing, they set the room up for me and were at our beck and call the whole time we... More

The first time I visited this pub I was with a works do and enjoyed it (although it was a few years ago). I have visited this pub 2 or 3 times since with issues each time of one thing or another eg; sticky table, dirty cutlery. The latest being a couple of weeks ago for Sunday lunch after Church... Called in by chance last Sunday and although the restraunt was fully booked we managed to get a table for 5 in the bar area. Roast beef was lovely but my wife was a little disappointed in the bean burger. Table service was good and staff very friendly. A limited choice of cask ale

Fantastic atmosphere, excellent service and food was delicious and served piping hot. We sat in the conservatory for a 60th birthday celebration plenty of room for everyone to sit comfortably. Staff attention to our needs was fabulous nothing was too much trouble.
