The building itself has been done out quite nicely but I think it's more of a place for drinkers as the restaurant food and service is very poor indeed. Starters are extremely expensive whilst portions are extremely small. My meal consisted of greasy fish and about 11 chips ...hardly a man sized portion... Far more suited for a child's portion... I had never eaten here before but i was very impressed tonight. The restaurant and pub is very tastefully decorated. The menu is varied but not over engineered. I chose the homemade pie, with mash and veg. It looked and tasted great. The quiz was fun but i certainly wasnt much help to my team. Overall a good night out.... More

We came without a reservation and we were quickly accommodated. Portions were big, delicious and price was alright. We had a soup of the day (tomato), honey glazed ham and a massive burger. The kids were happy with their meals. I recommend it and will visit again when back it England.

Went in for lunch, starters were really good. I had potted crab, husband had the pate. Both were polished off very quickly! For our main course we both picked the sausage and mash. Now we are both sausage lovers (!) and have consumed a huge amount of different varieties over the years. Unfortunately these weren't so good. Happy to recommend... More

After a lovely family day out at dinton pastures with friends we decided to go for a spot of lunch at this pub. Not only did they get our orders completely wrong, when we approached the staff about it, they refused to acknowledge and blamed us for not ordering properly. The landlord then approached us in front of everyone in... More

Four of us were booked for lunch at 1 o'clock on a Thursday and when we arrived, the place was already full - a good sign! We were greeted by a smiling waitress who quickly showed us to our table. Gluten free menus were provided for the two of us who needed them and a drinks order was taken and... More

We visited this week with a group of 16 after a family funeral and were looked after with friendly service and an excellent buffet. The landlord (Daryl) kindly reserved an area at the end of the pub for our group which worked well and gave a chance for disparate relations to have a good 'ol chat. Wadworth's 6x is my... More
