Very nice moment between friends around a pleasant table
The cocktails were good and accompanied by a tasty appetizer free of charge
For main course we had a roasted camembert: delicious, a fish casserole: a delight of sweet flavors, Calabrian lasagna: the best I have eaten so far.
Eel parsley: succulent
The products are fresh and well cooked.
The desserts are on the same notes, the crème brûlée: 100% cream was great
The very delicious homemade profiteroles and the plate of delicacies satisfied those who had not been able to decide
All in a place with an exceptional view and friendly service.
Thank you for this beautiful moment, we will come back with pleasure!!

Welcome, meals, service, bill, and panorama.... nothing but happiness!!!
The young students do their best to bring you the best from the moment you take your order, as well as the service.
As for the meal, we tasted seafood... a real treat
The choice of desserts is tempting!!!
We recommend this great address (no offense to some like Kévin who is easier to criticize behind his PC than in front of the boss!!!)
We will come back for sure
Don't hesitate to come and sit on the terrace to taste excellent fresh, homemade products!!! Thank you to the entire team of the restaurant les trois cocottes

The 3 of us came to unexpectedly enjoy a fish and chips - we hadn't reviewed :)) - and enjoy this incredible view of the dam.
We were received very kindly by the owner and his duo of young waiters at the helm of these 3 casseroles.
Pretty plates of eels convinced us that we hadn’t lost out! We really appreciated the attention of the owner following an order of wine that was not very suitable for our dish.
In the end, it was a great evening and a great meeting.
PS: Manu did well to offer you a watch for your 40th birthday, you fully deserve it 😉

Big disappointment for this restaurant that was recommended to us.
Certainly it benefits from a superb panoramic view, and in fact it is better to keep your eyes in that direction... because otherwise you have the impression of having lunch on a construction site in progress.
When we arrived, empty bottles and bric-a-brac stored on the floor in the entrance of the restaurant, once on the terrace, the floor under the table - largely chipped - was littered with dead leaves, papers, dirty beer mats... the walls are under construction, strings hang from the pergola here and there...
We order our aperitifs and dishes. We are served a tomato gazpacho as an appetizer that half of the guests will not appreciate. Too bland, full of water and a coarse texture... the appetizers will only arrive 30 minutes later, almost at the same time as the starters (sic!)
Beef carpaccio identical to that found in the industrial section of supermarkets, very ordinary Burratina with heirloom tomatoes without any particular flavor work, the seafood suggestion of the day, namely a trout terrine with almonds, will come out just fine. among these entries.
For the dishes it gets complicated, for the famous sea casserole, everything was overcooked, fish and shellfish, Caesar salad generous in greens but few ingredients, Eels and risotto which we would describe as rustic, without any effort of presentation , a sort of unappetizing gloubi-boulga... the same goes for the pasta dish. It was the roasted Camembert that did the best even if the Vendée ham that accompanied it was not fantastic.
For desserts, poor quality industrial profiteroles, no better than those you can find in an all-you-can-eat Asian restaurant... and you will have to negotiate at length to obtain a simple scoop of vanilla ice cream for the children, on the grounds "that 'we have very little vanilla ice cream' even though on the menu a dessert was made with it. Better to take the cheese plate which was honorable.
In short, in terms of service, it's not good at all, not professional, not friendly, not in sync. in terms of cooking and hygiene, we will come back (or not)...
In terms of invoice, however, it's impressive! As everything is "à la carte" we get €40/person for starter/main course/dessert, €50 with a beer and a glass of wine per head.
For this price there are many excellent and deserving gastronomic restaurants where everything is homemade from fresh and raw products.
Avoid it, and if you want to enjoy the view, a good picnic on a nearby bench will do the trick...

Nothing wrong with the kitchen
After 45 minutes of waiting they brought us the starters before serving us the cocktails... we had to ask them to put the plates back in the cool. For dessert I was served coffee before dessert,
At this Award it is not possible, we pay the frame .......
For wine it was necessary to ask, he did not offer us one.

Well, nothing more, given the prices, we expected better, a little sparse on the plate. The casserole sauce was really too liquid, and apart from the profiteroles, the crème brûlée and the fondant were very small. Mess on the terrace, a bit of clutter, and a good dusting in the toilets wouldn't be a luxury (mirror on the cash register among other things).

Noticing that there were few restaurants open on a Sunday I stumbled upon this restaurant on Google.
I came here with my in-laws and newborn baby and the waiting staff were very accommodating. The ambience is lovely and the view spectacular.
The menu is limited and written on a blackboard, I imagine because it changes often, and whilst the waiters staff of English was limited and our French also limited we stumbled through. My in-laws and I opted for the salmon cooked with quinoa, which was unique but very tasty, my husband had the camembert which he really enjoyed as well. The puddings were equally as delicious - a tart and profiteroles with ice cream inside. All dishes seemed a bit different from the norm.
Overall a unique dining experience with great quality food. A must try if in the area and looking for a restaurant which might actually be open!

Our first visit here, we live locally. We had lunch, the menu was a l'carte only and expensive, but the food is excellent. The young person serving was rude and unhelpful. Even our french friend commented as much.
The restaurant is not on our list to revisit.

Everything seemed perfect to me, we ate very well.
For my part, a fricassee of eels with parsley, and profiteroles for dessert 😋
The only downside was the weather, so we weren't able to take advantage of the large and beautiful terrace. Damage. We will come back.

Lovely lunch, incredible views over the lake. Large portions even my big kids could have survived with the kids portions!

Les Trois Cocquettes is a very pleasant, if rather out-of-the-way, restaurant, in a quiet village near Fontenoy La Conte, and it’s well worth the visit. It was recommended to us by a rival restaurant (Auberge de la Riviere, which is five miles away) because it was open on a Monday evening, when the Auberge wasn’t. So, we had a fairly simple meal – tomato and mozzarella salad (superbly presented) and a delicious risotto, with a ‘Norwegian Omelet’ desert - and it was excellent. If we’d been staying, rather than passing through, we would definitely have gone back. It’s serious, unpretentious, honest, friendly and imaginative. We highly recommend it.

We ate in this little village restaurant one Tuesday lunchtime. We were seated in the front part of the restaurant, which is lovely and light even on a grey day. The menu is very much French with starters such as goats cheese salad, country paté and foie gras. There is also a good selection of fish dishes, though not much in the way of vegetarian or vegan. For main courses we had salmon and duck leg stuffed with mushrooms and for dessert chocolate tart. Everything seems to be made on the premises and it was all very good. Service was relaxed but efficient. The cost with wine was about 40€ so not one of the cheapest meals we had in the Vendee but certainly one of the best.

Lovely ambience and decor inside . We went for Saturday lunch and only a la carte choice that day. A little expensive but the food of a reasonable standard. The service was efficient but could not really engage with the maître de.

Looks like a small village café/bar in a sleepy country village but inside has been made over into a large restaurant specialising in delicious home-cooked food, using fresh, local produce. There are steps up to the restaurant inside but wheelchair access is available to the side of the building. The service was friendly and efficient and the food delicious. We enjoyed Sunday lunch there and will return soon to try a weekday menu. A découvrir!
