For a couple of years it has now become a fixed stop during my stays in Puglia: in this restaurant it is possible to taste delicious dishes in a truly magical place. Inside a fabulous, constantly evolving Masseria it is possible to spend a special evening, pampered by trained and helpful dining room staff, tasting traditional flavors with a modern touch. The pizza is also very good and the cellar offers a wide choice. On some evenings dinner is also accompanied by live music which enhances the atmosphere even more. Never seen such impropriety! We booked YESTERDAY online for this evening at 8.30 pm, received confirmation email and message always confirmation. This afternoon at 4pm they sent us a new Reservation Confirmation message. We arrive at 8 pm at the gate and from the intercom we are told that this evening the restaurant is closed and that in its place they have organized a jazz evening with buffet for 20 euros outside! Outstanding local cuisine in Puglia

Getting there calls for a car or taxi. The location is in the grounds of the Masseria Torre Rossa. (Masserie are fortified farmhouses. The Masseria Torre Rossa is built into the other side of the ravine.) The restaurant is in a limestone cave close to a dry ravine, near a grove of lime trees. The proprietors are proud of their wine list but I had a glass of very pleasant white wine produced on the masseria. The cuisine specialises in local Puglian dishes made with finest, freshest local ingredients. I’d happily eat there again. It seemed well patronised by local residents which is a good sign.

Wonderful atmosphere in a traditional masseria- everything is perfect from the decor to the music. Great menu and extensive wine list. Everything we tasted was delicious, the seafood appetizers, the fregola with shrimp, and the orecchiette di grano arso. The service was also excellent.
