Genial: as the name indicates, is a "genial" (the Catalan word for brilliant) gallery-restaurant characterized by a personality and way to do unique and different to common restaurants and art galleries. It consists of a restaurant-cafe and an attached hall used as a "white cube"; the spectator can come either to take something, have lunch or dinner, or to take a look and become interested to the extensive art world. Our idea is to merge the concepts of gastronomy and contemporary art, obtaining from this a perfect symbiosis for all senses. With a creative and unique imaginary, either in the cuisine and the gallery, we offer cultural "culinary and visual" proposals that leave no one indifferent. Genial was born with the main objective of transferring the passion for gastronomy and art to our clients. Following this purpose, we work day-to-day to offer the best products, respecting the temporary nature and its primary flavours. We understand cooking as a cult to senses, being taste the main focus, but without forgetting about the visual part, merging cuisine and art. Market, proximity and/or zero kilometer, slowfood... Are some of the adjectives which design our cuisine and our method to understand and design our gastronomic world. The menu follows an evolving model; it is never monotonous. Our way of doing is a synonymous of creativity, spectacle and enthusiasm for what we love, always offering a market product and, therefore, seasonal. This allows us to make a diversified and changeable cooking where the proposal is coherent to the season of the year. "Genialitats" is a concept conceived to design the daily product, depending on what does the market offer. Always keeping the product fresh with the maximum quality, we look for the exclusivity in certain products, the ones we consider fundamental to communicate our philosophy, the ones that are unknown caprices for the client, where we merge the day-to-day product with the creative invention. Our wine selection has been very carefully elaborated, betting on products coming from small wineries, maybe not too known, but of great quality. We try to prioritize the wineries that care about the environment and keep ecological and natural processes.
