Recommended to us and lived up to expectations. Formal but very Italian - good service and excellent food with a good local wine selection. Even the chef came out to say goodbye at the end of the evening. Would go again.

We were wine tasting with Franco Fadda and we stopped here for a most delightful and tasty lunch. The place was very busy as all the locals eat here. I had never had fennel before and we had a fresh fennel salad with cheese that everyone loved. Followed by spaghetti with tomato sauce with mushrooms, pork ribs, sausage and pork... More

Il Pozzo is tucked away in a tiny village south of Moltacino, a beautiful drive takes you to central square with a church and very few houses. We arrived early so took time to walk and enjoy the scenery. The restaurant itself is cosy and authentic. Run by a family the menu consists of regional food items. The pinci I... More

We were on a day trip in Tuscany and we stopped here for lunch. OMG it was just so delicious. We are just back from spending a month travelling Italy and this was one of the best meals we had. My daughter and I both ordered the ravioli with ragu. It was four large pillows of pure delight. The house... More

We were expecting this restaurant to impress us. NOT! If anything, we impressed it. We sat outside. A big mistake. The atmosphere was good, but the bugs were notorious. Then we got the bread and oil & vinigar. That was a highlight. After that, it was all downhill. Four of us got four different dishes. None of them was memorable,... More

This is a place that Rachel Ray highlighted a few years back. Since we were visiting Monteriggioni we decided we had to eat here. It opened for dinner at 7:30 so we had some wine outside at one of the nearby places across the piazza and waited. I actually thought there might be a line, but not to worry. Only... More

Simply a good discovery in the heart of tuscany's paradise valleys. Great restaurant with wide selection of wines, delicacies with fresh regional products and great service. We had aperitivo, dinner and after-dinner in this location because the staff was so friendly. Great fiorentina cooked with fresh mushroom side: amazing! A special thanks to the staff that made everything memorable and... More

Located in a side street just off the main square in this medieval hilltop village - the quaint restaurant with its outdoor terrace shaded under large canopies offers basic Italian dishes. Try the bruschetta laced with local olive oil and fresh garlic, or the mushroom risotto, or pasta dish. Service is slow but reasonably friendly. Good clean washrooms inside!

Great food, location and service. Portion sizes of steak enormous! ! Not the cheapest evening out but we'll worth the price for a special night out.

The place and the people is really nice, but such a shame the cooking is so bad !! We only had two plates but the caprese salate was over-oiled (I love Olive oil but that was too much) and the other was oversalted and not well cooked (risotto al funghi). Too bad, the outside place is nice though.
