We found the restaurant rather lacking in atmosphere but very clean and the owners obliging. We shared a spaghetti starter which was delicious, however the main course of fresh fish had very little taste and wasn't presented particularly well.

Very small restaurant with short menu - the result is great attention to detail and food. They have a basket with the available fresh fish of the day from which you choose your fish and how to have it cooked. Not a cheap eatery but a wonderful place for a nice occasion. It is dog friendly, which is a plus... More

The fish was caught that day and you get to select it. Don't rall the type of fish but it was prepared in a salt crust. I will never forget the exquisite taste of the fish. Perfectly prepared. Expensive but worth it. House wine was very good. Service was excellent. Everyone takes great pride in the restaurant.

The hotel we were staying at recommended this restaurant. It is down an "alleyway" off the main street of town. It is a small place. If you want to go, I would suggest a reservation. The fish is very, very fresh. We had mussels for an appetizer. And shared spaghetti con scampi as our "primi" course. We then shared pagello... More

We had read reviews and decided to go. Very upscale and expensive restaurant. We thought we were ordering one fish encrusted in salt and one Ligurian style. The waitress brought a platter of four fish and asked us to pick out the one we wanted. Like picking a winner In a turtle derby. Anyway we let her pick the best... More

It has been two years since my last visit and to be honest it was just as good as we remember. We have spent 3 wedding anniversaries eating here, first now with our son... I still highly recommend the seafood risotto so delicious... This place always hold a little special place in my heart, we hope to be back next... More

Yes, they bring the fresh fish out for you to select (bream, big eye, etc) and things seem very traditional, which is fun to experience, but the tastes are only so so.

We visited a couple of times over a stay in Camogli and were very impressed on both occasions. Excellent seafood pasta and a delicious set of fish secondi. Nice atmosphere in the heart of town

After a week of bad choices around Camogli, we finally stumbled upon this excellent family run Restaurant, where lovely, super friendly, Chiara, advised us well on wine, food and desserts. Probably the best seafood risotto I have ever tasted in my life and an amazingly tasty sea bream Ligurian style. The desserts were to cry for more too. Value for... More

Da Paolo is a very nice place, no matter if you sit in the dining room or outside. Super friendly staff. The chef de service is a master of fish preparations (she arranges all the fish plates within the dining room). They offer a very nice range of different preparations when you order a whole fish: grilled, ligurian style, saltcrust,... More
