We last visited this restaurant 4 years ago and were looking forward to coming back as we had really enjoyed our first visit. The quality of the food is still very good but I think the staff were really struggling to cope with the demand...as the restaurant was full and working within the current restrictions imposed on Horeca. They are still offering a very extensive menu but with strict curfew in place some diners were having to finish their meals as everything was being closed around them. Perhaps they should only offer a set menu during these difficult times or follow a shift system. This kind of pressure also showed itself in the level of service which in the past was very friendlyMore

Probably one of the best restaurants on the island; fantastic food; good service; generous portions and all was fresh!

Lovely sunny spot, attentive service and food was great. Good value for money compared to some of the other restaurants in the area. Prepared to make a plan to accommodate food preference. Fresh fish with generous side dishes.

We had moussels which were great, large and tasty. The service was great. They were only two serving the while restaurant so quite busy for them running around. Location good.

I had mussels & glass of wine for dinner. It was very tasty - great fries, tasty sauces, salad, the mussels were fresh, did not have a single bad one. The wine was also good. The staff was friendly, however at the end it was...kinda hard to get their attention, and after some waiting I had to go pay directly to the bar.More

We've been to Vlieland several times, but never visited this restaurant before. On a recent trip we were tempted by the menu, so tried it. We were really pleased we did. Excellent food. Well cooked and with thoughtful combinations. They had a special ''Asparagus'' menu,...since it was in season and I must say the dish I had was one of the tastiest versions I've had. Lovely!... It was so good we booked to go back a few evening later. The food didn't disappoint then either. Would recommend highly...More

Had dinner here with our kids and grandkids. Had a table in the garden at the back which was great - the kids could run around, without bothering anyone. The food and the wine were good and the service was extremely friendly.

We made reservations here (as a quest of the hotel you get a 10% discount). We chose to take the menu. It was all good, except for the steak, it was not tender that was a setback. Staff is very friendly.

We have been going to Vlieland and this restaurant for years and were pleasantly suprised to see that it has been renovated with a more contemporary look. Also the staff is much more attentive and quick than in the past, although very young and inexperienced....This is a place to have fish, meat and you wil be served the traditional Dutch way with lots of side dishes. The food is fresh, not overly refined but in line with the price. There is a nice terrace in the front (street) or the back (garden). I was disappointed by the wine list which was not extensive. This restaurant caters evidently to people for whom spending €40 on a bottle is a maximum... We did not have desserts but noticed they have plenty of old-fashioned ones, for example Crêpes Suzette. All in all a must try, especially given the restaurant scene on the island.More
