Great village pub promoted by our camp site. Excellent food, good beer, sensible prices and courteous service. Dog friendly in bar.Good on local produce, game and meats. Starter of whitebait followed by venison casserole. Both excellent and no room for pud.

Won't be going here again, waited 50 mins even though we had booked for a poor meal - aunt Bessie's Yorkshires, rock hard veggies and roast potatoes that would crack glass if you chucked them! Terrible, a shame as had nice meals here before.

Excellent and very busy pub/restaurant. Chose the smoked salmon platter to start and follows that with delicious ribeye steak. Rather more than I had expected and well presented. The starter was delicious and although my steak was a little fatty in parts, it tasted delicious...More

Booking is highly recommended with Sunday lunch, they do get very busy. They do the full Sunday roast menu.
