Terrible food. Roast dinners cold, dry meat, sent back, but the replacements were as bad - cold plates, cold gravy! Won't be returning

Had visited previously and found food to be generally OK, although a bit variable. Went recently and had BLTs which were appalling. The bacon was undercooked and the baguettes were soggy and totally unappetising - should have been heated or toasted as previously ? Didn’t...eat all of mine. Not many people in which is not surprising. Don’t think we’ll bother againMore

It was our first visit here today and definitely our last. When we arrived I thought ‘this is a nice pub’, staff were friendly and it’s nicely decorated. We ordered our lunch and although I was disappointed that my first choice wasn’t available it was...just one of those things so I chose something else. No big deal. But given we had to wait approx 1 hour for our food to arrive and my first choice was a superfood salad, I’m pretty sure the cook would’ve had time to go to the local supermarket, buy the ingredients and prepare the salad. Our food arrived and it looked OK but that was the best thing about it. My chicken was like rubber, very obviously frozen chicken which had been cooked beyond belief. The skin on fries lacked any sign of skin and the bbq beans were sporting a kind of coating that only a microwave can provide. My husband’s mixed grill was missing it’s fried egg and a piece of the rubber chicken had found it’s way to his plate too. All in all a huge disappointment so I wouldn’t recommend this place for food. Drinks yes but food? I would avoid it.More

If you're looking for quality pub grub that's value for money then this is the place for you! Friendly atmosphere, and the staff were really friendly and welcoming - LOVE the fact it's dog friendly too! Sat and had a nice drink in the sun...after our meal, but even if it's not sunny the inside area was pleasant to sit in and well cleaned. Social Distancing measures in place (something that unfortunately can't be said for all pubs in the area :( ) so felt safe here given the current circumstances! Would recommend a visit! xMore

Lovely local pub with great food and really friendly staff. Popped in here on the way to visit family. Starters we had were garlic mushrooms, mozzarella sticks and prawn cocktail. All delicious. Only slight was the wife felt like there were too many prawns??? Never...a bad thing in my book. Me an our son had the scampi and chips, wife had the pork Sunday dinner. They do not scrimp on the portions here. Maybe we shouldn't of had the starters as we just couldn't finish. Great variety of veg on the Sunday dinner and everything was hot and stayed hot while you were eating your meal. There is nothing worse than eating "warm" food in a hurry in my opinion. This food was excellent. The roast potatoes just melted in you mouth, I had to nick one of the wife's 😉. Three satisfied customers. Great service, great food and very reasonably priced. Definitely will go back.More
