Came to Lucia Lodge by chance and were so glad we did. The food was really good cafe level food and the service was very personable. Even better was the stunning view. All in all, a magical little moment on our trip to Monterey.

I had the fish and chips. Not sure how this was rated in the top 10 in the US. Small fillets in batter for $24. My husband had the turkey Reuben and was very happy. Stop for a glass of wine and enjoy the view!

My window table view was unbeatable, and the waitress was friendly, funny, and attentive. I would give those aspects 5 and 4 stars, respectively. Also, delicious French-roast coffee. On the downside, fish-n-chips did not do justice to the fish, which was thin and not enhanced by the batter (tho' nicely crisp). Blackened salmon fish tacos were tasty, yet needed more... More

Take a break from your drive and savor the food, serenity, and view from one of the most scenic dining perches overlooking the ocean in all the West Coast. The ambiance is unparalleled. Before your dinner is served, warm bread and butter are brought to your table. I ordered the Bruschetta before realizing this, but had no regrets since it... More

Service was nice and the restaurant was not crowded at all, so those were positives. But the menu was very limited and very expensive, and the food was only average in quality.

Stopped here for dinner one evening in October while visiting the Big Sur area, there are really few restaurant choices along this area and as we were passing we decided to eat here, the restaurant opens at 5 for dinner so when we arrived it had just opened. There were not too many options on the menu for dinner but... More

Since the Nepenthe was just too crowded, we trucked onwards on the PCH and found this wonderful place. The ocean views were awesome, and we opted for their ‘famous’ fish and chips…and yes, they were great! The waitress was very friendly, and the prices were reasonable for this area.

We ate here our first night staying at the lodge. Our waitress was very nice and was running all the tables so she was a bit frazzled. We felt bad. Our food was very good. We got steak and chicken and it was all tasty. The views are great of the water and mountains.

We were staying at the lodge over night so ate at the restaurant. We ate early around 5.30/6 as we wanted an early night and a chance to see the sunset without being rushed as the restaurant finished at 7.45pm! The service was very friendly. We sat in the window to see the view but the flys are a real... More
