I booked a table for 12.45, 9/9/17, even left a mobile no. as requested. After our visit to Churnet Valley Railway went to the Inn for our Lunch only to find that it was closed. We have not heard anything from them since.

Popped in for lunch whilst visiting the Churnet Valley Railway. The décor is railway themed but not excessively so. The pub was just finishing being renovated when we visited, but that notwithstanding the food was good if a little unusual, with flatbreads offered rather than...More

We came here (4adults) for an evening meal. The staff were really welcoming and chatty. We were shown to our table where we ordered our meals. My beef Wellington has to be the best ever, the beef so tender that it virtually melted in my...More

Food is average at best and is priced very high, the interior is very good after the recent refurb with old railway sleepers as benches which are surprisingly comfortable, but prices are way to high, the couple that own the pub are very nice and...More

This pub has been renovated recently. The tables are set out with two chairs on one side and a plain wooden bench running along on the other. This is just bare wood to sit on with some cushions to sit on. The wood window surrounds...More

One of the best pubs I have visited in a long time and I have visited many. Food was fresh and perfect. Service was friendly and welcoming. What more can you ask for. Thanks.
