Tonight was our second visit to this little gem of a village restaurant serving delicious local food. Thankfully, it was open as there was nothing else available on a Sunday evening! Chez Eva provides an eclectic menu supported by good regional wines, and the restaurant was surprisingly full this evening - or, unsurprisingly given the lovely food. The Magret de... More

We were staying at the hotel 500meters walk away. And it was well worth the walk. Very quaint with plenty of outside seating, the restaurant can be opened to the weather during the day. Beautiful setting. Our host had a wonderful smile and no English but did produce an English version of the menu. We both started with a green... More

Went to Mourèze for one week and were there during the festival. The surroundings are beautiful and during the day are always plenty of visitors to visit the Cirque which gives the village a nice atmosphere. During the festival this continued at night. We visited the restaurant several times and enjoyed the nice food but even more the pleasant service.... More

We stopped here mid-way through a bike ride for some lunch. The venue had been recommended to us and didn't disappoint. Eva herself welcomed us, explained the menu and took our orders, carefully looking after my vegetarian fiancée and providing a variation on their vegetarian assiette to accommodate personal preferences. The house special steak tartare (with chips) was great and... More

We stopped here for a quick lunch before visiting the imposing Cirque de Mourèze, thinking of a sandwich. We were surprised by the range of choices for a small, road-side cafe. We chose a salad, with fresh pieces of chicken in batter.. Very nice! And a lovely local rosé, a gris. Service a little slow, because only the chef and... More

We thought this would be a nice place to stop and have a drink after our hike in Moureze. This was by far the worst service I have had in France. The waitress was very unfriendly, unprofessional and took forever just to greet us (which was more of a "why are you bothering me" attitude. It's too bad the service... More

What a gem ! If you are travelling in the Languedoc this summer, near to the Lac de Salagou, Clermont L'Herault or the mythical Cirque de Moureze, the restaurant Chez Eva at Moureze is a real gem. First, its location : adjacent to the celebrated Cirque de Moureze, it is a very very convenient stop-off point for geologists, geographers, anthropologists... More
