We visited yesterday the service was very slow waited over 1 hour for meals. Then the Didnt come at the same time. Our 1 year old grandson was the last to arrive 15 minutes after the first meal. Had fish and chips which was cold. Pizza was tasteless. We ordered drinks on arrival took 20 minutes over all not impressed.

Came here with my husband for lunch. Service was friendly and prompt. My husband had the chicken parmigiana, which was generous portion size and my husband said was delicious (8/10). I had the steak sandwich, which I didn’t like. The steak was tough and small, the lettuce was soggy and the sauce tasted weird. I was disappointed (6/10).

My friend and I dropped by East Village on Saturday and shared a Caesar Salad, sharing as neither of us were starving, they were great, happily giving us two plates. The salad was really quite lovely, the chicken juicy and generous helping of. We quite enjoyed our meal and would happily return.

We booked for a family lunch, 12.30pm on Thursday 29th December. We thought they would have had time to stock up after the Christmas rush. We booked a Thursday because they advertised a steak special on Thursdays. When we arrived we were told the specials were not available at that time. That was disappointing but not a big deal. The solo waitress was friendly. I ordered steak. Sorry, we have run out of steak, so I had the chicken and mushroom alfredo which was very good. My wife ordered crispy skin barramundi. Sorry we have run out of barramundi. There was whiting on the menu so she asked if she could have the barramundi dish using whiting instead. The waitress went and asked the chef, came back and said the chef said no. No reason given but he wouldn't do it. So she ordered the queen pizza. That was not nice at all. We each had one slice and that was enough, not at all flavoursome so we took it home for the dog. Fortunately the alfredo pasta was a generous size so we shared that. My daughter had the ham and pineapple pizza which was also very uninspiring so the dog will be well fed tonight. My granddaughter asked for the steak sandwich. No steak. Instead she had a chicken burger which she said was very nice. Overall a disappointing dining experience. No steak, no barramundi at 12.30pm on a Thursday, tasteless pizzas. Sorry to be so negative but we won't be going back

We had booked elsewhere for a group of 11 but had to cancel because of seating arrangements however we were very delighted to have walked into this restaurant and were given the best service and food by amazing Staff! I will definitely be going there next time! Thank you Team 🌺

I found this place much better than expected. Granted it was early evening and not very busy. The staff were welcoming and very friendly. The food was good value for money and rather tasty too. We did order far too much (as usual) and they have plenty of drinks on tap or bottled. A very good experience all round.

We love East Village. Very reasonably priced and great food. Staff very friendly
We had the Crispy Salmon and the Beef Brisket Burger. Both were great and would highly commend

Food was very tasty and great sized servings but the service left a bad taste in our mouths!
- The initial waitress, who later informed us she was a manager, took the orders in sequence so that they would know who ordered what, however the delivery waitress had no idea obviously how to read the order and delivered meals to the wrong people.
- The way that we were asked what we would like to eat was also done inappropriately by the ‘manager’ with her just saying “next?” all the way around the table. No “excuse me” or “what would you like?”
- Meals were delivered at different times with the final one the ‘Reuben Sandwich’ coming out after another large table had all been delivered.
- We had to ask for a second round of drinks which took ages and were incorrect. Again it took ages for the correction to arrive.
- We could overhear the way other patrons were being spoken to and often the staffs comments were very inappropriate, to the point when one staff member was overheard saying to another “ if anyone asks for milkshakes or slushees say we haven’t got them, I’m over making them”.
Basically, staff are poorly trained and there were not enough of them (this is not their fault but that of management!)
Won’t be going back.
