Had lunch here on two occasions during a recent holiday in Northumberland. Their brewed on the premises beer is always a delight and their simple lunch menu, specialising in locally sourced ingredients is an absolute treat.

We stopped mid walk during a mid week day in September. The queue was out of the door to take orders for lunch! Apparently this is entirely normal! We sat on a table outside, over looking the village green. The pub itself is tiny. We...More

Heading for a drink there at 7:15pm only to be told by a couple leaving that it closed at 7pm. This was on a Tuesday in mid September. Not sure why? Disappointed.

Dropped in enroute for lunch, sat outside @ picnic tables. Great selection of local real ales, the crab sandwiches are so fresh and the kipper pate with toast, both are a must. Really good laid back hostelry.

Dog friendly pub with an excellent menu and good beer. The service was pretty good but unfortunately they were fully booked for dinner - for the next 3 nights! Anyway we enjoyed our short visit in this delightful pub - well worth a visit

This is a delightful little pub, to be found in a small bay overlooking a sandy beach. I have been staying nearby and it has been well worth the 10 minute stroll to the coast. A brisk walk along the sandy beach and back is...More

This is not the first time I have been to the Ship Inn. I could not rate it high enough last time I was there. This time? We could not get a table until late and we had to wait for about half an hour...More
