Was here for lunch, and was absolutely delighted. A queue to get in this place is a good sign. The food was great, and so we're the staff. This place would get another visit.

We were staying with friends locally. They recommended the tea room for a traditional Ulster fry to set us up for the day. It certainly did that, in a lovely quaint old building. The staff were friendly. We didn't have to wait overly long. The portions were ample. The coffee was very nice. The food was tasty. The freshly baked... More

I had the lemon, raspberry and yogurt cake and a coffee. It was delicious, and gluten-free. The staff are always very friendly and helpful and they have very nice art for sale! ;-D

This is one of my favourite cafes. The building itself has an authentic Edwardian theme, which adds to the whole experience. Inside, the cafe is quaint and full of character. The atmosphere is laid back/ambient, with easy listening/lounge music playing and very pleasant staff. The food is also very good. I enjoyed it, as it was something different (not corporate)... We were on the hunt for a cream tea but arrived at the tea room, just as it closed. The owner, spotting our mournful faces, opened the doors and provided us with a delicious cream tea! The tea house is lovely inside, with lots of Edwardian period detail, great old-school tunes and vintage china.

Yesterday afternoon a friend and I visited The Old Teahouse in Whitehead. This was not through choice , or recommendation, but because of less pressure finding parking space in a village where there are double yellow lines restricting parking in every street. My first impression upon entering the restaurant was that there was little space for comfort due to lots... More

Lovely freshly made food. Could not decide whether to have the seafood chowder or the crab crostini so decided to have both and they were delicious. Friendly atmosphere and quirky surroundings. Will definitely go again.

Visited the Old Tea House for the 2nd time, and found the menu to be varied, reasonable, and the food very tasty. Great selection of breakfasts, sandwiches/lunches, and cake. Also does a fantastic gluten free range if needed. The staff have always been really nice and helpful, and today was no exception. Will def go back.

The building itself adds something to the experience. Its a very relaxed space, with books of the area to browse, and usually (always?) 1930's music.... Prawn open, and crab on sourdough were excellent, and enough of a portion. I did see fry's being ordered, and they didn't "look" great to be honest, but I didn't eat one so can't comment.... More
